thats probably only because snowboarding is such the 'hip' thing to do so inexperienced rich city dwellers come to the mountains and fuck themselves up

I actually agree with it...I am a ski patrol and majority of hospital worthy injuries are snowboarders (usually wrists, tailbones, collar bones, concussions etc...) next on the list would be snowbladers with boot top leg fractures. while lots of skier get hurt they dont seem to be as many breaks. though this is at a fairly small resort

First most snowboarders are people who hit the park. the general population of skiers are groomed run weekend warriors. Second snowboarding has more minor injuries like broken wrists and twisted ankles. Skiing dishes out the harsher ones like torn acl's nad such.

The past is behind you, the only way you can ruin the present is by worrying about the future.

a higher % of snow boarders hit the park and because snow boarding is newer than skiing most people snow boarding are at they age where they are gona ride hard whis is always a higher risk

and skiing has been around a lot longer so there are a lot of older people (about 30+)that just ski slow and on grommers who will never get hurt

The moral of the story is, bullshit may get you to the top, but it wont keep you there.

 
You know what would make this study much much better? A realistic comparison between the sports, IE newschool/freestyle skiing vs snowboarding.

well ya its true but doesnt say a danm thing to me because at my hill theres like 10 skiers compared to 100 boarders basicly and all 100 of those boarders are in the park where as only like 2 or 3 skiers are in there but the skiers have been sking there whole life and the boarders could be doing boarding for there first time ever and get draged into the park and try and hit rails and get hurt

Well you cant argue with factual evidnece like that!! MAybe we shouold ban skiing and snowboarding becuz sum 1 could get hurt or even killed i didnt know that did you?

But serioulsy i thinkit s just becuz most skiers have been doing it for a while so they are more intellignet kids are goin out buying a board and then hucking themselves off a 20fter so of course they are goin to get hurt i dont feel bad!

thats because some boarders are complete morons, like a lot of them at my mountain will hit a jump knowing they are only going to make it halfway and... SPLAT!
