Skiing is rough

I don't know about yall, but I think skiing is one of the rougher sports. I played lacrosse for 4 years and yea there is a lot of hitting and checking but i never got hurt or really sore/banged up.

Yet not only do i get banged up after every skiing day, but i get uber hurt all the time. Nothing extremely serious yet but for instance today i landed head first on a 45 foot jump and almost broke my nose and now i cant walk cuz my leg only bends 10 degrees. That was my 21st failed cork attempt in a row.

Does this happen to anyone else?

sometimes i think its not worth it, the serious pain(broken femurs , humerus, internal injuries etc ) i just dont have the will power to disregard the chance of serious injury so i can learn a new trick. and it sucks because i progress soooooooooooooo slow. its annoying

I have the most trouble with skiing after our usual yearly ski trip out west...whenever i come back from this my knees are really sore from all the jumping i did...i can really feel it when i play bball or when i wake up in the morning

skiing is brutal you move way faster than your legs can carry you, sou you encounter way more g's in the normal motion of skiing than running sports.

the tackling aspect is a bit different, but overshooting a 40 ft table onto your side is BRUTAl.

"skiing is brutal you move way faster than your legs can carry you, sou you encounter way more g's in the normal motion of skiing than running sports. "

thats why i love it, cause i can't run fast at all.

i coodnt walk from the impact on my knees/ thighs for like 3 days after skiing out west.

its so different jumping cliffs compared to doin rails and jumps in the park

I do both, play lacrosse and ski and I gotta say, skiing ruins my legs, and lacrosse ruins my arms. Im pretty banged up.

it helps to be in shape when you ski.

last year i had played tennis for 3 hours a day, and i went out to colorado and did the park and backcountry and i didn't really feel a thing.
