not hating on this company in particular, but more of the fact that skiers are so obsessed with matching outfits and their appearance in general. its like "hi, i like skiing...and wearing matching outfits." i cant think of very many other sports that care so much about how they look. its getting ridiculous.

am i the only one who thinks outfits such as the ones pictured are fucking stupid?

it all just comes down to personal preference really, some people like different types of outerwear, it's just how it is.

posting stock photos was a terrible way of proving your point. obviously they're going to try to make the shit look as best they can, they're fucking trying to sell it to you.

just for you

think of football. specifically the oregon ducks. they have like 100 uniforms. They are a fashion show

My football team is all about our "swag" and so is my lacrosse team. Everyone wants to look good in the sports they play. I can't think of a sport where people have no regard for their appearance.

yeah but team sports wear uniforms in order to distinguish between opposing teams. you're required to wear the jersey that your coach gives you and there's no real way to stand out other than like your sneakers or your lacrosse stick.

in skiing, you can wear and ride whatever and im just astounded that so many pros and enthusiasts alike choose to wear such homosexual outfits.

for more references, just watch any of the new ski movies from this (or any past) year..after 2003.

I think it is unfair of you to say that skiing is a fashion show. if you are going to be spending money on skiing outer wear in the first place, it may as well look good.

Id rather see a kid shredding in a carhart coat than a kid skiing straight down the park in a matching outfit

this

But then I come from a snowboard background and I only cared about how functional my outerwear was/is.

no, i wanna look good..obviously you and i just have very different opinions of what looks "sick." To me, wearing matching outfits fits the description of "looking like an idiot." i try not to take my choice of clothing too seriously, unlike you.

Whenever I try to get new outerwear, I always end up just spending the money on booze, drugs, and gas.

I guess you're too young to remember (or be alive) for the time in skiing where we had no "pro" skiers and the industry was based around models and fashion.

You think skiing is a fashion show now? at least the majority of marketing and advertising these days has pictures of athletes skiing and not just modeling.

^this. Don't matter how hard you rip, if you dress like a clown, your a fucking clown. If you think wearin XXXXXL jackets to your ankles with pants so long your trippin on em or your pants saggin so much you need special suspenders and waterproof boxers or ski boots that look like basketball shoes or tim boots actually look cool....you are sorely mistaken. Cause most peeps think ya l

who cares what anyone wears, it really is personal preference, and i know that a ton o' people see someone dressed in sick, expensive stuff and just assume that they are good at skiing, .......personal preference and i guess it doesn't matter as long as you enjoy skiing

This thread makes me laugh. On another note, those full tilts that look like sneakers are fucking dumb. Sorry Todd Wallnuts, but you look like a dickhead with those boots.
