Skiing in virginia

im in the coast guard and all this winter im going to be stationed in virginia anyone know if theres any good park skiing there?
 
where are you stationed? near nolfolk? Theres pretty good stuff at wintergreen. I dont know much about the others but wintergreen is the shit. If not, you can go further to snowshoe in wv, but there park has sucked dick the last couple years. The best park would be app ski mtn in NC. It has the best park, hands down. they are expanding again this year and it will be sick. check it out www.appterrainpark.com
 
^ exactly what he said...i would also add in 7 springs in PA and if you want to travel a bit mtn creek in jeresy. wintergreen is lucky if they have enough cold weather to blow and make 2 jumps...small jumps at that
 
yeah wintergreens the best all around in VA. like 1100 vert isnt bad, decent park, but not alot of natural snowfall compared to its WV neighbors
 
if you live in northern va, liberty, whitetail, and rountop are close

and wisp and 7springs are long weekend trips
 
Massunatan(Sp) normally has a good park, Wintergreen is ok, they have a decent park, theres one other ski area thats like 45 min out of DC with a park. Skiing in NC is close by

watch out for the va cops
 
fucking $1000+ tickets for in state speeding. pissing me off. and now there pulling people over if they excel by more than 5 mphs, while letting all the MD and DC people slide
 
hahah doug ive got court tommorow for driving without a license,40/25mph, and too dark of tint. Martins got charges too. We'll see how it holds up. Were still amped for the season.
