im planning a trip to vermont cuz i cant afford a plane ticket to ne where on the west coast... so here is my question.. where is the best place to ski in SOUTHERN vermont?

a plane from new jersey? by the time you check yoru bags, stand around, load the plane, fly, get off, find your bag, and find a ride you could drive to vermont. but hit up mountsnow for the glades and park, okemo for the dopeshizzle pipe, and stratton for park and rails.

big, with 44 baseloges, if you ski there, find a local, otherwise you will just get all mixed up. Ski Magic Mountain in londonderry, steepest terrian in southern vt, and never a lift line garenteed. plus you dont need a lift ticket, cause the lifty just sits in his shack and puffs all day long.

DONT go to magic on a super cold day.. its not worth taking the twenty minute ride to the top, if you're going to be frozen, up there. great terrain, though, some good bumps.. snow is pretty good-- not too big, like killington. killy takes research, to get around. okemo is great, typically overcrowded on the weekends. bromley is also a good overall mountain, cheap, easy. of course, if you stayed somehwere around okemo, you could visit okemo/bromley/stratton/killington/magic, without having to drive more than an hour.

Killington is huge and really spread out i don't like it that much i found there were also a lot of beginners there compared to teh other mountains i'ved skied at.

bromley is pretty cool, and stratton looks gnarly, but i haven't skiied stratton..... okemo has the best pipes ever....

but from jersey, just friggin drive!

in southern VT . . . Okemo by far has the best pipe, the parks decent too, Stratton and Mt. Snow have decent parks as well, and if you want to ski trees, go to stratton - Okemo's glades suck and Mt. Snows are ok if you look around

The BiG K is sick once you get to know how to get around. Mount snow has the best park for big air. Jay is crazy for trees.
