Skiing in vail

i thought vail was ok. it's worth a season if you have the money. if not breck is just as good and only half hour down the road.

worth a season? hell no

worth a couple of storm cycles - maybe

Vail Season - Short, Cold, Crowded (Texans and Japanese)....expensive

Maybe if you have a high power sled, a big truck and a few good freinds with big machines, you could have fun for a season, but just skiing....hell no

I lived there for a while, and leaving was the best thing I could have done...if you want to make the most of a year off, go to Tahoe, Mammoth or Utah...anything less is a waste of your time. Not that Vail sucks, but it is not consistently good

Vail is good because you can find any kind of skiing you want........there are some pretty good backcountry spots for good powder

It is a large mountain but is mediocre all around. It doesn't get that great of a seasonal snowfall. People from the east think it is the shit, but if you are from the west it will be a let down. There park is weak and set up poorly, at least compared to Breck. If you like bc there is some good stuff on vail pass though.

Vail is expensive, but you also get paid higher in most jobs to compensate. Just be ready to ball on a budget while in Vail.

With 5000+ acres you can ski a lot of good shit.

i liked vail. UNTIl i got kicked out. the people there are just snobby. i love the pow and the park. its amazing
