I live in va, we don't really have anywhere nice nearby within the state to ride really so I was wondering if you all could help me out with some good places in like philly and surrounding areas to ride. Thanks

Not sure exactly where you're located, but if you're willing to trek to Bear Creek, Blue Mt. is very close and has 1000ft vertical (most in PA), and is a decent "all mountain" mountain for the area—in my opinion, it's the best all around mountain, south of VT.

Bear is a small mountain, but its park is really good. If you want more of allmountain skiing definitely go to blue mountain.

yeah im from fairfax, and i like to pretend that roundtop whitetail and liberty are semisemidecent.

ive heard good stuff about big boulder though

you're not too far away from me then, are those places pretty much all mountain or do they have a decent park also. I'm not really too great at park yet but I like to get some time in every now and then and if you ever head massanutten's way you should let me know we'll meet up and do some skiing

they all have decent parks, roundtops is probably the best of the three, and in my opinion all three beat massanutten in every catagory

haha, true story not many places are worst than it really but it's close, has somewhat of a park and the ppl are pretty chill so it's all good.

i'm from mclean. i skied at liberty and whitetail mostly, and made the 4 hour treck to big boulder every now and again.
buuut now i go to uvm in vermont. so all i can say is skiing in southern PA isn't as bad as you think. Be happy with what you got.

damn that sucks but i'm always down for making a distance drive for some good skiing. i'm happy with my mountain since it's pretty close, I was just looking for some better places
