Skiing in turkey

alright so i might be going to turkey for a few weeks at end of july and was wondering if anybody knew good places to hike or resorts or heli or something? id prolly be going to the tauras mountains or something within a few hours of istanbul. anybody help me out?

yeah kinda....my dads fam moved to istanbul. my grandmas fam is from mongolia then moved to caucasus mountains and my grandpa is like crimea, top of black sea

its all like western turkey. i want something that maybe someone has skied before on ns or something within like 3 hours of istanbul that would have snow in july. if tuckermans in NH has snow left in july then the mountains there which are atleast tucks height should have alot more

well im 15, cant do that much. im going to be with my fam and rollerblade and check out the histroy for like 2 and a half weeks. then prolly gonna go to uludag or something and ski

i think skiing on greece would be even easier. more slippery.

seriously. i think the first issue of powder this year had an article on skiing there. Im sure it was there or derkaderkastan or something. might help. it ws suppsoed to be sick. ill check for you tomorrow

summer tho tahts the thing....the article they have is on the eastern side...bigger mountains up to 18,000 feet. the west is only half as tall. im not taking a plane to go to the other side

I'm thinking it'll be too hot to ski in turkey, last time I went it was too hot to do anything that didn't involve being in the sea. You should be cool if you go in the winter though.

 
Unlikely in July.

But come winter, apparently you can take a ferry to Bursa?? from Istanbul and there are slopes nearby. Also around Antalya, and further east towards the Iran border.
