Skiing in the Rain

waxs your skis with a warm, high flauro wax to keep youir skis fast on the wet snow. Personally, I hate skiing in the rain as I think everybody does.

 
well you could not go. But then you wouldnt be skiing. Go and make sure you wear waterproof stuff. Bring a lot of extra stuff cause you'll get wet.

If you're in the rain, it'll get slushy, so just be ready for that.

if youre a super aggressive carver, the snow will give way more easily, and the rain makes it a really shitty ride up the chair, it feels like you piss in your pants

 
it's still skiing, which is always good.

But it sucks and can get you worn out and miserable really quick.

Heavy fog, wind, rain, any combination or one of those suck to ski in.

Eat. Sleep. Breathe. Ski.

 
yeah, bring a lot of extra clothes, dont layer too much cause you'll get hot (when it rains, its not usually very cold), and get the hell away from the bottom of the mountain, thats where the snow is the worst b/c of the max amounts of people skiing to the base lodge.

i remember the days when i didn't have gortex waterproof gear. i couldn't stand skiing in the rain. It was miserable. now i can stand it for about 3-4 hours before i become miserable. I just stick it out though and ski because i love it so much.

dynaster_concept, it does too rain in canada, fuck, in whistler there are some days in february where it is raining at the base.

 
haha, he makes it seem like skiing in the rain is bad. It makes the landings nice and soft. You obviously are spoiled to have never skiid in the rain.

Skiing in the rain really sucks, its raining here now and i jus got back, my stuff is so wet i an wring water outta it. make sure your gloves and coat are really waterproof and you can tolerate being really cold
