Skiing In The Midwest?

I've been at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana since fall 2006. Incidentally, I have yet to ski while at school. It's safe to say that I am in full on withdraw and can't deal with it for another season. Just like any other skier, I have an affinity for fresh powder, but I know that's way beyond feasible in this place. I'm getting into freestyle a bit and I've heard of a few places, but nothing spectacular. Does anyone know about some decent places to ride out here? Even an average jump park will do.

surprised you havent heard of perfect north, its in lawrenceburg indiana, i looked on the map it doesnt look like it would be to far of a drive for you either. perfectnorth.com

I also went to IUB, but I'm a perfect north local so I'll give you my somewhat biased view. You have 2 options.

1. Paoli. It's pretty much a straight shot down 37 and is 45 minutes away. Their stuff is ok.

2. Perfect North. It's about 2 hours or so depending on traffic, but it's well worth the drive.

You should also look into the ski and snowboard club if you haven't already. Theres usually people that go to Paoli nearly everyday of the week and I'm sure you could hitch a ride with them. Feel free to message me if you have any other questions.

Yeah are yyou serious you went to IU and didnt ever hear of perfects??? reppin pns all the way haaa

ski butler used to be big around there, but for real perfects super worth it, so many legit people, and you can probably car pool theres plenty of people who come down from iu in the winter

Thanks a lot for the feedback. Now that you mention perfect north, it does ring a bell. I would be heading out this weekend if my 06 Public Enemies weren't stolen this past weekend. Again, I really appreciate the suggestions and I'm definitely going to head out there at some point. If there are any current IUB students looking to ski, DROP ME A LINE!
