Skiing in our future?

right now as many of the people on the east coast we have absolutely no snow. it was 50 degrees today on January 12 and i was not too happy to see huge puddles coverging grass instead of snow. Global warming is some of the cost to this and i try to do things to minimize it so the snow doesnt vanish forever but at this rate in 15 years they say there will be very little skiing, maybe 3 weeks worth. and i dont no about you guys but i wanna ski for the rest of my life to try to cut down on global warming and do things such as recycle because i want to ski not swim.
 
I just did a speech on global warming, whether we will be able to ski in 20 years is debatable, but the fact that global warming is there is not. At the rate we are going I believe that it will take a few more years for it to affect skiing majorly, mostly the impact is being seen in the tropics and the poles. this is proly a freak thing, look at the december we had in the midwest.
 
^ exactly, you just proved that your "global warming point" is wrong. it is natural for the earth to go thru warming trends like it si now. its not everywhere either just cause new hampshire isnt getting snow doesnt mean europe or sa dont. + if you have been skiing for longer than a couple years youd know that there is something called the january thaw on the east. only a couple years ago the snow didnt come until march... patience is a virtue
 
ok well srry i didnt mean to blame it just on global warming but that is some of the problem here. im not saying there wont be skiing everywhere in 15 years im saying in NH there might not be. and i kno about how it does that in january but i usually dont see more grass around then snow and when i do see snow its only 5 inches worth
 
I recently read an article in Powder magazine about global warming. They had an expert come in and right an article about winter and global warming and how long it could be untill winter is gone, most of it was very interesting untill the concluding sentence where it totally made me feel good and I was tingling inside. He wrote "the only thing we are sure about is that we are a looong way from doing away with winter", meaning winter aint leaving. yesssss!
 
it does this every year we have a period of warm weather and then it goes back to normal. I know that in the mid-west they said it will get back to normal next week
 
of course there is global warming, you think that thousands of scientists and thousands of meterologists are wrong, and you, who obviously doesn't know shit is write, i DONT think so. yes the earth goes through warming trends, very good, do you want a cookie......but this is called global warming, not a warming trend......and if you want to make it stop then stop buying some much lame ass shit like ipods and suv's and new fujatives. the human race is pretty fucking stupid in general, and the world is pretty fucked up......
 
^word man. humans are fucked up. so hypocritical. Globing warming is gonna melt almost 60% of earth's glaciers and that could wipe out almost all of the east side of the appalachian mountains.
 
haha global warming is not here...we always get a beat warming trend and if you look at the long range for atleast where i live its going to get cold
