hey guys so im going over to meet some friends and just to travel around. i get there on the 6th of may, just wondering if i should take my sticks along with me and where the best possible place would be to go for coverage, ill be staying in drammen which is near oslo but i dont mind driving somwhere just as long as its not to far. cheers

I had a race in Norway in June several years ago the name of the resort was the Strynsommerskicenter, in Stryn Norway. It was beautiful, the women were beautiful, and tons of fun!!! It is a drive from Oslo but like I said it was tons 'o fun

yeah ! you can ski at stryn , its about a 6 hour drive from Oslo, or Folgefonna, its near Bergen... are you gonna ski park?

in May, there's too much (!) snow at the Stryn summer resort, and they simply can't open the roads up to the mountain! it normally doesn't open before the first weeks of June.

Folgefonna (summerski) may be an option, not that good for freeriding, but the park is often better than Stryn's.

An other option is Juvass in the Jotunheimen, but they may open later too, same problem (if too much snow can be considered as a problem ;) as Stryn.

Consult the forum on http://www.friflyt.no wich is a Norwegian ski/snow etc magazine!

thanks guys, i dunno if im skiing park im meeting a couple of Norwegian girls i used to live with at my university so i think just free riding so park it not a huge problem, but thanks a bunch, oh and because i can are skis really expensive in Norway my mate has told me pretty much everything is expensive. probably a pair of scrach bc's or the like.

oh and there is not a norwegian ski site in english? i have been trying to learn a bit and its fucking hard but i know snakk engilsk for faen.

haha! ja, for faen!! :)

nope, none in english, but to get a profile on friflyt.no shouldn't be too hard even tough it's in norwegian, and then just post your qustions in english! if you encounter a problem, just PM me and I'll help you out!

I don't know the prices on skis in the land down under, therefore I don't know what's cheap or expensive for you, but in Norway prices are slightly (or more) higher than other EU countries, but in May/June you should be able to come over some afordable end of season nice-prices!

I forgot about that...there is such a sick amt of snow they told me they usually couldnt access it till June. although this year maybe sooner????

just to give you guys an idea of the sickness! ;)

once logged in, look on the left side, right under the "search box" it's written "dine muligheter" and choose "Ny forumsdiskusjon". Complete the form (all the choises/options look quite like the english words, you should be able to figure it out) then complete by clicking "Lagre innlegg"!

To see your profile, and to read potential messages in you guestbook and PM's, go to "MIN SIDE" (my page) in the blue, horizontal line near the top!

voilà!
