i think the ski hill that all the pros were at in propaganda(that huge 1/4 were tanner did that switch cork7) is at a ski place called neaba i think something like that.

and to give you an idea of the snow, you can see schad or szocs (forget which) in propaganda ripping through a tree run in chest deep pow. japan is on the coast, so they get more than enough snow...you should be fine.

Japan ski is nuts, and you will see that if you go in a ski centre, there is so many people in asia, its crazy how crowded the hill will be, and at the end of the day, its bumpy everywhere like a bump course. And that is why occidental bump skier are idolize n japan...

Going out of bounds is illegal in Japan, so if you're willing to jump a rope, you can get fresh snow weeks after it has snowed. And it snows A LOT.

I heard it wasn't that expensive, because for the olympics they built a lot of stuff, and now there's a lot of competition to get customers, so their prices are low... or at least lower than they used to be. I have a friend from japan who skis there and likes it.

China is gonna be where it's at, they're building 450 ski resorts in the next 10 years, they've already started on them all, over 50 are over 3500 acres

I actually spent 2 months in asia and had a chance to ski in Japan...a rather interesting experience to say the least. Tickets are about what they are here...I paid like 55 bucks or so I think. Dont really remember cause its all Yen. Check outhttp://www.vill.hakuba.nagano.jp/e/index.htm thats where I went, it was great skiing when I was there cause it actually snowed for a few days before I got there. And like was said before the japanese dont really leave the trails. Where you go skiing all depends on where you are, the public transit system is great with all the trains there. For info check outhttp://www.skijapanguide.com/index.php

As an american/canadian on twins you will immediately be attracting tons of attention. I had kids asking for my autograph and stuff.

The hude indoor snow hill in Japan is being demolished I heard.

As for mountains, I've seen a few old snowboard videos and it looked great. In one of them, there was so much powder that the chairlifts were just a few feet from the snow's surface, no kidding.

skiing here is kinda cheap if you get a season pass. it all depends on mountains but it cost about 5 houndred bucks or so. price of a day pass is the same in the US and Canada. There are good resorts in the northern island and north of tokyo.

are you kidding me. season passes are alot of money. about 1,200 a piece. if you ski every day its worth it but skiing is not cheap

THE LOAF RULES OVER US ALL

Yea the big indoor place in Tokyo closed a season or two ago because of how expensive it was. There definitely is a ton of natural, good skiing to be had there. I had the chance to go there last summer, and I saw the mountains, and the view is just like the view off the top of whistler

theyre all about big half pipe comps and stuff.

there was an article in powder like 2 years ago about skiing in japan. they set up huge tv screens and stuff at these comps and theres some mountains w/ good snow

First one on the lift, last one off.

A friend of mine was at the World Student Games in Italy this winter. He said the Japanese guy who won pipe (snowboard) had a halfpipe built in his back yard. No joke.

yea im pretty sure they got some sweet stuff, my aunt is there right now so i can ask her
