where's the best place to ski .. near greoble .. because now i'm livin in france ... near from grenoble ...

has anyone been in villard de lans terrain park ... is it good .. because its like 15 min. to that resort..

thx

Just go to every place you can and decide which one you like better, then tell us which one was the best!

you're 40 minutes away from "les 2 alpes" which is opened almost all year long and has a good big park with 2 pipes and lots of jumps/rails. Really close to les 2 alpes there's the resort where doug coombs died this season in an avalanche, "La Grave" which is a just freeride resort without grooming machines.

This is good advice! Les 2 Alpes has the glacier all summer. It's kinda flat, but they have a park up there which is fun, especially in the summer, with nothing else going on. There's quite the nightlife scene there, too.

Get a guide for La Grave. I'd suggest Joe Vallone. He's a member of Copper's freeride team, super good guy and he will show you the goods. His email, if I remember correctly is joevallone@hotmail.com.

There are TONS of other resorts close to you as well. You will be spoiled and probably never come back.

Have fun!

As well as Les 2 Alpes, look at Les 7 Laux, their park tends to be pretty epic, and its always fairly uncrowded.

If you want to travel a little further, Serre Chevalier has killer freeriding on a good snow day.

yeah go to les 2 alpes it is so sick! Go to chamonix and get a guide coz powder skiing is amazing there!!!!

if u get the chance go to meribel les 3 vallées. i used to live there and its the biggest skiable domaine in europe i think. anyways they have 2 terrain parks both are sick, and insane hors-piste. check it out

From Grenoble u ride in Les 7 Laux, Chamrousse, Les 2 Alpes, Alpe d'Huez, La Grave and if u wanna drive more Serre Chevalier and Montgenevre.

Go to 7 Laux for park, 2 Alpes for park in summer, and u def. gotta ride pow in La Grave and Alpe d'Huez.

Whoever is advising 3 Vallees is an idiot.

michaelbc is right- les deux alpes is the real heavy hitter nearby, but les sept laux is progressing very fast i hear. I've ridden la grave and the place is just insane, simply must be hit on a powder day! these resorts are all under 1 hour away. for longer trips you have the espace killy (val d'isere and tignes) which has world class terrain and 2 decent parks plus limitless kicker building spots. also there's paradiski (les arcs- la plagne) and les trois vallees. these are good too but a little tamer than espace killy. these are more than 2 hours from grenoble so are worth spending a weekend in. Hope you have a great time, you'll love it!
