Skiing in Europe

Who's ever been, I rember an article in Freeskier where the author said he'd rather ski in Europe on a bad day than America on a good day, so it must be pretty sweet. I want to go some day.

 
havent been over there, but hte major places are chamonix in france, courmayer in italy, verbier in switzerland...i have a friedn thats over there now, sking in italy, says its incredible. the ski areas over there generally arent as 'controlled' as the ones here in the states, definitely a good thing

I went to Europe in January, and I didn't ski, but Cortina in Italy is a big ski town. Its in the Dolomites and they are huge mountains with loads of snow. If I'd been there for longer than 2 hours I definatley would have wanted to ski there. Switzerland is great too, but expensive.

yeah, Ive been to Cortina, went hikin up around the mountrains, it looks like it would kick ass in the winter. And I also found a scorpian in my shirt while I was there.

in general the areas are a lot bigger than in N america with a much larger vertical (Cham has a 10,000ft lift served vertical) Access to the backcountry is easy too. If you want to know more then message me

Bawb, I can trace this wanting for abuse back to your childhood i see it all the time. See growing up you had two dads, whereas everyone else you knew had a dad and a mom. This put you in the 'outsider' catagory right off the bat. Some of your earliet memories were bad sounds coming from your parents bedroom. Switzerland!! i used to live there, great place.

On soulage une journèe sans argent avec une biere mais on ne peut soulager une journèe sans biere avec de l'argent!
