Skiing in china

anyone ever ski in china? either in the northeast or in the northwest (xinjiang)? any thoughts? I am looking into a trip there this winter.

I buddy of mine was going to go to China to help them out on a huge new ski area there. It was going to be state of the art. I haven't heard anything about it since, but my friend told me that the mountains and snow conditions were incredible.

i dont know what city/province but in the top left corner of china its gets pounded with snow and has pretty good mtns because its pretty much by russia

japan is killer and i recommend it to any powder fiends. my friend is living in bejinng and is in the snow scene there. i'm hoping to meet him in japan and then go back to china with him and do some exploring. we'll see if it happens.
