Skiing in Austria this summer + rentals

Alright im lookin for some info.
Ill be in Altenmarkt this summer for awhile and my parents said since they are gonna be going on a bike trip theyd let me ski if I found a place to go/transportation. So Altenmarkt is by Radstadt (i think thats what its called, altenmarkt is just a small town where Im related to every 3rd person), and I heard Dachstein had summer skiing but not really sure. So where is a good place to ski thats not super far away and also a place to get good rentals (cant bring my skis in the car were getting so id have to rent there). Any info is great and if anyones gonna be there in june i think itd be chill to ski with someone. Also is there any good DH biking + rentals in austria or is that all in germany and italy for the most part? Thanks alot guys.
 
yeah man go to dachstein its a really nice park open till the end of july. i will be also there.

i think you can rent skiers also twinnies in ramsau am dachstein you must go through there if you go on dachstein. so...

i think its fantastic for summer skiing but you can jump the kickers only till 1 o clock after midday

 
^ he allready answered the ski part ... now my turn on Dh/ Freeride. Austria and specially Salzburg (The Province in which Altenmarkt lies) is one Country with the most downhill tracks i think. So there is a track (also with some Freeride-possibilities and Dirts in Schladming - thats about 20 minutes around the mountain from the valley-station of the Dachstein Glacier - http://www.planai.at/bikepark/index.php . Then the next thing in the near is in Wagrein (just about 15 to 20 minutes awai from Altenmarkt - http://www.mountainbikeparkwagrain.com/ . Then Bikepark Leogang (about an hour to drive) - http://www.bikepark-leogang.com/ and Saalbach (also just about an hour) http://www.bike-circus.at/123.0.html

Of course you can rent bikes of all kinds in all of these bike-parks ...

So, I hope this helps to make your decision to make some runs on fresh Austrian Ground

Of course I will also be around in summer, so when you are going to hit the tracks PM me, and we look if we can ride sometimes.
 
thanks a ton brosefs, and the wagrain link is mad sick, my great uncle or some shit drives to wagrain every day from the town I stay in for his tea shop. And more info is greatly appreciated
 
So I don't really have any more to add to what's been said before, but totally random, I was in Altenmarkt last week! The Atomic factory is there.

god graham im so jealous of you... when i got invited to the Burton Spring Sessions here in the Czech Republic, i met up with a bunch of kids that i had skied with the weekend before. they are all sick sponsored snowboarders and apparently like 4 of them are gonna be there the whole summer so maybe you'll see them there. they are all sponsored riders for Funstorm and most likely there will be two girls and one guy. the girls are like 20 and the kid is 17 and he kills it.
