Argentina has a bunch of good ski areas, there was an article in one of the latest Snowboarder mags that had had a whole bunch of beta on Argentinian resorts. As far as Chile is concerned, the three really good ski areas in the Andes are Portillo, Valle Nevado, and Termas de Chilan. Portillo has been in a lot of magazines recently because it has crazy lift accessed terrain. Theyve got a dank website too, i think its www.portillo.cl, im not sure, but it has a lot of info about the two. Valle Nevado, http://www.vallenevado.com/ has some crazy above treeline terrain and is supposed to be pretty good too. Hope that works.

I lived there for a couple of years... in the Patagonia where all the sick skiing is. I lived in 2 ski towns. Cerro Chapelco in San Martin de los Andes is ILL. Also, cerro Catedral in Bariloche is super famous. Cerro Castor in Ushuaia is pretty cool, i hear. Last but not least, Las Lenas up north is the most famous ski area to north americans. There are lots of other hills too, although they aren't as famous, but still have sick terrain. PM me if you want to know more about Argentina... I have lots to say

We gonna whack it til the wheels fall off.

Plus, if you end up going, you will be right on the Chileno border and you could hit up El Colorado, and Valle Nevado... Chile is off the chain too. Pucon has a sick volcano, although I am not sure if you can ski on it.

We gonna whack it til the wheels fall off.
