Skiing in Alberta

Saw someone up skiing Kananaskis the other day.

Hoping to beat my early season turns of October 4 from last season.

It's cold in the mountains, I think there's a storm rolling in this week??

Castle is supposed to get 80 cms... Waterton area up to 1m of snow. if you wanna ski you'd be better off to drive south than west

If the 40cm of snow we're allegedly getting this weekend actually turns up, planning to pack some snow down and make a jump line out of the Canmore Bike Skills Park, so fingers crossed.

Lol unfortunately the only skiing I'm able to do in Alberta is at Calgary Olympic park. There's like 6 total runs. They have a decent park with 3 large jumps and about 6 or 7 rails and a rad half pipe! I like to shred there when I visit family

Yall get that snow ?

Yeah, we got a bunch of snow. Canmore got quite a bit but it didn't start accumulating in Banff until earlier today. Had some fun on a rail and it's still snowing in town. There's no way this will affect opening dates too much though. We still have another few weeks before Sunshine opens.

Hiked some hills in Canmore and got a few turns in. Snow isn't deep enough yet though, skis kept getting caught on bushes/branches. Also was really sticky. But hey, September snow > no snow.

so i work at castle mountain and they got 150cms at the start of the month and my buddies who live there year round were skiing yesterday. i plan on going this weekend. if i do ill post pics
