Skiing in 2020

It'll probably be mostly the same, some bigger spins and new tricks. The technology of skis will have upped a bit but no ones going to be cruisin around on anti-gravity planks
 
it wouldnt be gay if there was no more snow. If there wasnt any snow left i be begging for something to ski on. plus year-round skiing would be nice
 
Back to the roots, baby. More people will be hiking for turns, taking park tricks to the backcountry, and skiing bumps and tight trees will be cool again. Well I can always hope.... ;)

no we will have rocket boosters on our skis...and our poles will have buttons and shit to initiate it. a trigger on the handle to start the tail boosters, or if going switch, the built in computer chip will reckognize the direction and start the nose boosters for extra air.

there will be 2 boosters on each side for spinning which to initaite it the button on top of the grip.

and incase for a accidental overshoot...the velocitizors will blow winds of 90 mph at the ground to provide a nice soft landing

and this is what i experienced when i went in my time machine.

oh yea and the new steeze, is still XXXL stuff but everyone wears their underwear on the outside.

and its not longer twin tips. its all direction tips...people go of jumps at 90 degrees
 
someone should remember to bring this thread back in 2020....if NS is still around by then, i hope im still having fun then
 
no theyll be shaped like skis, but instead of side walls itll be lipped up...hard thing about it tho is no edges...so alot of accidents happen. but a man by the name of steve kazairian will land the first 90 degree double lincolin back flip
 
everyone will ski snowflex.

i think skiing will take off after the snow all melts and everyone starts skiing snow flex parks.

it will be cheaper and more accessible.

it would be as fun as real snow, but it will work, especially for the kids who never saw real snow.
 
there will be no snow man... if we did have snow... rails would be so progressed but i dunno about jumps were kinda running out of things to do...
 
well i think that at some point the world will see, omg we cant keep poluting like this.... then well have to drastically do something to save the planet.. so theres still some home...i hope...lol
 
someone extremely intelligent and motivated will come along and help the population of earth find solutions for global warming and it will be the good old days all over again and triple backies will be childs play, and chads landing will be the mountain in the background and tow ins for the jump at park city get overshot by 20 feet when dumont tows in using a black hole as a sling shot
 
replaceble edges?

tungsten cores, somehow the cost is lowered. the energy transfer would be similar to that in a golf ball, causing more force thrown into your turns and movements. my idea. its just illocical right now. i really want to pitch it to olympic race companies...
 
umm it will be just like now.

there will be douches who think they own the hill and act like fuckfaces.

and there will be me, having fun and playin on tables.

oh and there will be more snow than ever, seriously.
 
cab 9s will be normal. no one will have heard of warren miller. tanner will get hurt or die drunk.
 
Like rollerblading.

Tricks will stop evolving in 5 years. Will be replace by technical old tricks.(broken 450's)

Set ups will include more jumping on t rails.

More urban skiing.

Skis will be more durable and artsy.

Skis and boots will all be customized to be different from the rest.

Outerwear will be whatever the snowboarders came up with the year before but in brighter colors (not much differnt from now)

and finnaly the skier will a rare subject.

Hence my theroy on why skiing will end up like rollerblading.

 
skiers and snowboarders will go to war in 2016 and by 2020 they will be extinct. perfect timing because there wont be any snow anyways.
 
Afterbang is obselete . Heads are now light because the kids don't think about anything anymore . Everyone wraps their arms around their bodies as hard as they can and any spin past 5 is illegal .

Also, how much of NS is now new users and how much is it grown-ass adults who were around 13 years ago, still bitching at each other like 14 year olds? I mean, I'm still doing the same apparently.
