Skiing gift ideas?

I'm looking for a Christmas present for my older brother and want to get him something skiing related. He was off skis all last season due to injury, so I figure would appreciate something to get him stoked for this season. He's not a park skier but skis the rest of hill at level 10. We're both dirt poor so I'm probably only looking to spend $20-40 if I can, but I'm always willing to be generous. I welcome any suggestions you may have!

Im not really sure, my suggestion might be to get him a decent pair of gloves or mittens. I know for me something quality to wear on my hands and keep me warm can make or break my day on the slopes

subscription to powder and/or freeskier, or if you have a bookstore nearby, get him the current issues of every ski mag they have on their rack.
