At my local mountain the lifty's don't really check for lift tickets so me and some friends have pretty much skiied for free this whole season... has anyone else been able to do this this season?

i not ski for free but early in the season i lost ma season pass so i dont pay for another.

i just go to ski and nobody ask me for my ticket loll

when you dont pay to ski, your terrain park manager doesn't receive his check which he uses to feed his family...he will then most likely do one of these two thing:

1) put broken bottles on the landings of all the jumps

2) shoot you in the fuckin face

and remember kids, your lift ticket money is whats keepin our economy afloat...erm, no that cant be right

It's the resorts own damn fault if people are skiing for free, they should probably have ticket checkers if they really care about making money. That being said, supporting a local mountain is always good, but if i could ski at park city without paying i would do it in a heart beat.

yaaa .. i have a season pass to one mtn.. but the place i go for night skiing never checks passes so i just ski there for free.. one time they asked me for a pass and i just bobbed my head like i couldnt hear them because my music was too loud.. haha

Currently I buy seasons pass's... it's just easier. But for a few years I skied without a pass. I did one full winter at the ski hill I grew up in without a pass, then after that I did almost a full season at Whistler without a pass. Lasted 4 months skiing whistler without a pass before I was over it. Those bastards have thought of everything to catch you... makes you get creative, ya know?

The more people that pay for they're passes the more money the mountain getsthe more money the mountain gets more stuff is put into the mountainthe more stuff that gets put into the mountain the more fun you can have
so basically the more people that pay for their passes the more fun you can have

I've done it a bunch. I find the best way to get on the lift hassle free is to stick close to the ski school and offer to take up one of the littler kids. You move to the front of the line and no one bothers to check your ticket.

I bought a season pass this year at a hill and so far I haven't been checked once. But it is nice knowing that I am not poaching and not having to worry about getting caught. As much as I have gone this year it is already less then $15 a day for the season pass and will end up less than $10 easy.

my wallet is more important to me than a resort that charges 90 dollars a day ticket. fuck that and i agree with heath

my sisters a racer a COP on weekdays so she gott a bunch of thos valid the day they get scanned passes so i looked through the pile and found one with a printing fuck up ( 95% are fucked) so i jsut get to use one pass all year there now cuz the lifties are super chill and let me go

I would do backcountry but I live in va so we don't really get enough snow for me to do any backcountry and the closest place is like 5 hours away
