I've yet to see someone at my hill who dresses like a noob and skis better than me. I'm sure they exist, but I have never seen it. I'm sure this isn't an uncommon other places.

This is why people judge other skiers based on their clothes. It's an attribute which claims "I know what's stylish in skiing today." Unfortunately, knowing what's stylish and executing stylish ski maneuvers are two different things.

Thus, we have the dillemma, the noob w/ fancy clothes who thinks a rodeo 5 is a stop on the PBR circuit. Not that it matters, I think it's great that people wanna wear whats cool. Do what makes you happy.

I'm still going to comment on it though.

not to sound elitist but the only thing that should matter is their skis, forget their clothes. While back i skiied in vail and some welled dressed jackasses gave me shit in the gondola line because of all the duck tape i had used to hold my clothes together. Then we get to the top and the dingle berry snow plowed all the way down. Then later in the year i was up in Big Sky in line for the tram on a powder day and everyone has wearing what every but they all nice ass skis and the majority of the people there were badasses. Real skiers put there money were it counts into their skies

 
some people really, seriously beleive that skiing is all about the way you look and continuously worry about it.
