Skiing Europe in Oct/Nov: Any hope?

To be completely honest, I don't know shit about which mountains are good over here.

I'm trying to plan a trip for myself and a few friends while we're here in Europe.

Is there any hope for a decent trip at the end of October / beginning of November?

 
Most of the glacier parks are opening now, Hintertux has the best park and is cheaper than the resorts in switzerland.
 
Saas Fee and Zermatt are next to each other (about an hour drive maybe less) so you can mix it up.

I rode 20cms freshys end of October in Saas Fee last year.

Plus the park in Saas is pretty well maintained.
 
This. Hintertux is probably the best. In November Kaunertal and Stubai is also open but it's not as good as Hintertux! Don't know exactly about the snowparks in switzerland.

Proline in Hintertux is also open since today. Pretty big jumps!

Austria is your best bet if you ask me. Nicer and cheaper than France/Switzerland.

In Austria you will most likely have the choice between Hintertux, Stubai, Kaunertal, Kitzsteinhorn and Dachstein. There are other glaciers, but to my knowledge they don't have park.

Between those, Hintertux is a good choice. But to be fair, they're all really nice, and all have pretty good parks. Dachstein is literally only park, but it is a super fun and lappable one.

That sounds amazing to me. But I'm going with two guys who'd much rather stay out of the park.

Best bets there? Will they get bored on glaciers, or is it actually difficult terrain?
 
It will really depend how much they have open by then, which can vary a lot. You can get lucky and get some side country pow (generally you have to be really careful with pow on a glacier) but Hintertux, Kitzsteinhorn, Stubai and Kaunertal generally have pretty good terrain, and some nice groomers if there isn't much snow. Stay away from Dachstein if you're not into park, that's all there is.

If I were you, I would probably try to go as late as possible, and wait as long as possible with booking, that way you can head to where ever the conditions are the best.
