butters involve spinning, pressing, and and most importantly MOVING.

standing on your tips, whether it be waiting by the lift, goofing on the side of a run, or even in your front yard, is called a tipstand, or a noseblock, or skiblock, or nosrepick, or whatever.

but it is definitely NOT a butter.

Well first of all, action sports bastardized terminology because butter doesn't have anything to do with moving or pressing or anything, it's the fucking fat taken from milk. get it right.

Tricks have names... if people called a kick flip in skateboarding a 3 flip, I'm sure people would care. It's the same principle here. Tricks have names, and call them the correct names.

Doesn't anybody just ski anymore? I'm going to call it a queer stand from now on. And anytime I ride switch Im going to call it riding queer. And any body who posts after me, Im going to label them as queer too. This is the queerest thread ever. You guys take the fun out of having fun by labeling everything so seriously.
 
wtf is the difference? so cab is unnatural, yet switch is? i dunno about you, but going forward is natural for me, not switch. natural switch on skis doesnt exist. maybe thats just me.
 
because a switch unnatty spin is way harder than just a switch spin and saying cab is easier than saying switch unnatural same as if your spinning forwards its a right side 7 not just a 7
 
to clarify the "cab" thing:

its short for caballarial, it comes from skateboarding, theres this dude called steve caballero, and the trick is named after him, it actualy means a fakie 360, no matter which way you spin. but really who gives a fuck, call it a backwards whirlybird for all i care.
