Alright boys and girls. I'm making my desition of which school to go to, and I need your help. There's got to be these conditions-

1) North East- (NY, Penn, Vt...)

2) Near a good mountain or resort

3) A prety decent school (I'm not a dumbass, and I want a future)

Any ideas?

well, seeing as I dropped out of Middlebury (in VT) to go to CU-Boulder partly because I was sick of east coast skiing, I'm not sure I can help you out much. haha. but Midd is near Killington, Stowe and Sugarbush and it also has it's own ski mountain which is pretty cool.

middlebury would be the best education wise. UVM is a good choice too. maybe saint mikes

Where did you get your clothes, the toilet store?

Dartmouth - New Hampshire (money ass ivy like an hour from killy and shit)

University of Pennsylvania - downtown Philly (money as ivy in a city near Blue mtn, a few others)

i dunno how smart u are but ive been lookin at shit like those and a bunch of others, penn isnt that great but whatever once your makin 110 gz first year out of college you can afford the flight, your education should really come first

anything in Rhode Island, NYC, or Boston are good too.

If hate were people, I'd be China.

UNH 1.5 hours to WV, Loon, Cranmore, and most other NH ski resorts, 2.5 to most other ones around new england (Sunday river, okemo, almost all VT ski resorts)

UVM is the best for VT skiing though.

Dartmouth is a crazy school. I'll send an application in, but I highly doubt I'll get in it.

I'm going for Business Managment as a major.

And, damn I cant see previous posts, who ever said UB (as in University at Buff.) you're crazy, I live in OP, and the only good ski place around here that Id actually take the time to drive to is Kissing Bridge, if I'm lucky, Holiday Valley, it sucks in West NY.

i dont know a lot about business schools, but i know that RPI has a real good business school. Also, theres all the NY state schools, cornell, etc. I go to Lehigh in PA, about 30 min from blue and the mountain isnt that great but i love the school. Im gonna try Bear Creek mountain next winter, looks like a lot better park, but the school is great overall. Good luck man.

I ski Killington

College passes are awesome

yeh ny sucks balls, go to uvm, jay, stowe, smuggs, sugarbush, bolton, mad river all with in 1hr and 30min. also killy is 2hrs and loon, stratton, and waterville are 2hr 30 min

its really cold for one week a year which sucks, but everyone is cool at uvm and there are less hippys than you think, uvm has business and tons of other majors if you want to switch, burlington is a cool city

UNH has a very good business school and it's not too far to the mountains. However, if you wanna be really close, it's not the school for you.

Bishop's University is your best bet. Resting on the sunny shores of Canada your touitioun will be thousands of times less than that of an american educational institution. Leagle age here is 18 which always makes for good times. You will be living with in 30 minuts of 7 or 8 ski hills which are all decent. There is ony 6 minuts from campus that has a night pass for 75 dollars, and on weekeneds Jay is only 45 minuts away, Loon is only an hour... Im telling you honestly that if you want skiing in the east and a good education, Bishop's University is you best bet.

st mikes is 5 minuted from burlington and close to all north vt areas and not too far from okemo stratton killington. we also get a free pass to smuggs.

That's cool guys. Thanks for the info. And about skiing everyday, as much as I love skiing and getting better with my friends and comps and stuff, I have a better future than that. But one thing's for certain I will always freestyle ski.

midd is tough academically, but a great school..UVM is like a toned down more "tree-huggy" school

fact is don't go to school for skiing period. it just doesn't mix well. if you're going to go anywhere in the NE for a good education, their is no school that's just down the street. im lookin at CU boulder now, cause it seems like it has a good engineering program, not cause of the skiing(which is an hour away). choose the school that's right for u, then think about skiing afterward. i might go to NYU, or UCLA if i get in which is still small, but i can always go skiing during winter/spring break. just dont go to a school cause its right near skiing just for the skiing, it's college remember.

cape cod cummuntiy college mutha fuck

yea, what if i want to join a college to ski for that college, you know the whole racing seen. Still keepin the freestyle heart but racing. Thats why im really thinking about UVM. what kind of grades do u need for UVM.

Virginia riding since a long ass time ago. Got the real east coast crud out here.

UVM's got somethin like an 84% acceptance rate, not the toughest school to get into. But it sucks. I can't wait to transfer and get the hell outta here. The skiing is the only good thing, but it's so good it might just outweigh all the other bad shit.

Look into VT schools, got a few friends up there that love it.
