Downhill Slide

It's a book about the birth of the ski industry, and how it has turned into the type of industry it is today, with uber-rich places like Vail and Deer Valley, and the evolution of the sport

^Interesting Read.

I forgot, there's also one about the Vail arson called Powder Burn by Daniel Glick. Talks about the ELF's protests and then action against the Cat III expansion (now Blue Sky Basin).

And I'm sure your local library can help you. When I was doing a paper on ski resort development, they not only helped me find books about local ski resorts, they were also able to do an ILL (Inter-Library Loan) so that I could check out books from other libraries from around the world for free. You can just give them the ISBN, they'll look it up and if it's available, they'll ship the book to your local library as quickly as they can and then it's pretty much subject to the same checkout rules as your local library.

sorry for the double post.
