Skiing at CU Boulder

I'm at CU (sko)! There's a pretty big ski culture here. There are two teams that take up most of the skiers. The CU Freeski Teamhttp://www.colorado.edu/sportsclub/freeskiing/ and Boulder Freeridehttp://boulderfreeride.org. Most around here usually have the Epic Local pass, so they ride Keystone, the Basin, or Breck. The Rocky Mountain Super Pass is also a super good deal, with Winter Park, Copper, and Steamboat and Crested Butte if you feel like making a trip. I think this pass also has Eldora, which is like 25 minutes from Boulder.

Buck the Fuffs, CSU!!! Haha jk I'm not here to hate. Can't speak too much about the university but what I can say is that there is much more of a ski scene in Boulder than in Fort Collins even though its not exactly a ski town by any means, plus they are closer to the mountains. They also have a freeskiing team there which is super dope. Still got to put up with I-70 and all the bullshit that comes with it though. If you're trying to ski as much as possible I'd look into the Colorado Mountain College campuses or even Western State in Gunnison, but if you want to ski and still have a college experience go to CU.
 
Cu is full of skiers. People will say don’t go to cu because you have to drive a couple hours to the resorts but it’s really not that bad. Find a good group of friends and the drives up there are fun and worth it
