Skiing AND Snowboarding!?

A lot of my good friends are boarders, so videos I make usually end up containing skiing and snowboarding. I can enjoy watching good snowboarding almost as much as good skiing, but I've been rejected by multiple blogs because the video I submitted contained the other sport. I realize that some of that is to be expected, but I didn't think it would be such a barrier.

What do you guys think? Does it kill a video for you if it has both sports in it? Do you think the dislike is stronger from the snowboard side?

Fuck no man, i love watching both sports, hell i even snowboard too every now and then, some of the best edits i've ever seen have been filming boarders, i love them both, a sick edit is a sick edit no matter if your throwing sick tricks on a board or skis.

Only people that hate are 12 year olds who think they gotta rip on other boarders or skiers to make they're version of the sport cooler, tbh it's pretty easy to tell.

Peace.

I like watching good snowboarding, but I think skiing looks a lot sicker. Also people always hate on snowboarders cause they think they're asshole, but there are some douchy skiers too.

It's as if you're mixing cesium and water.

Of skiing being water, fluid, dynamic, chill, relaxed, sometimes liquid, sometimes solid and essential to a good life.

Whilst snowboarding is such a cesium; so soft, pale, aggressive and very volatile.

Put them together and....

Snowboarding (Gone a few times): It's fun, like skateboarding down a giant hill but better. Definitely try snowboarding if you haven't already. However, jumping and stuff with a snowboard is so damn akward, that it takes away from a lot of it.

-Fun to turn and is really fun for long groomers

-Feels like surfing

-Not fun for jumping

Skiing (Ima skier): It's awesome, you can pick it up really fast. Jumping feels natural, and rails are a bit tricky to get down at first but then feel natural as well. It isn't as fun to make turns on skis, since it's not too different from standing up, but still enjoyable. I feel skiing park is waaaaay better looking than snowboarding though. I just think skiing grabs look 100 times better than snowboarding grabs, and snowboarding looks terrible on rails (IN MY OPINION).

-Fun to jump, easy to learn

-Turns not that fun

-Better looking tricks than snowboarding

-Rails skiing > rails snowboarding (They look better imo)

Both have their goods and bads

As someone snowboards and has a few hundred days over 4 ish years I can tell you that you are wrong (kind of) the largest issue with your opinion ( I'm being sarcastic) is that jumping on a snowboard is less fun than on skis, its not true they feel about the same. I also think that even though there are more ski grabs that look cooler than some snowboard grabs, snowboard grabs feel better for the rider and are more fun. There are few tricks that feel as good as a well tweaked grab. Also I can't immagine how much pipe must suck on skis. I love both and will watch both edits.

I think a straight air grab on a snowboard can look super sick. I also think having frontside and backside for rails makes it way sicker cause its like skateboarding and skateboarding is rad. I also feel like skiing is way more 'spin to win' and snowboarding is more about cruising. Skiing is definitely better at a mountain though. and butters on snowboards look kinda lame

there is no better feeling on a snowboard than a huge straight air method

There is no better feeling or sight in SPORTS than a huge tweaked out strait air method except maybe racer ass

I liked snowboarders and have a few snowboarder friends I like to ski with, but today at the mountain I met some really a-holes. I just skied down and was grabing the rope tow, but no one else had it so it was on the ground. I made sure no one was coming down the hill and I tried to pick up the rope. Then all of a sudden some snowboards come flying down the hill and hit me. The worst part about it was that he thought it was my fault I was grabbing the rope while he was flying down the hill and couldn't move.

I was on the lift Saturday and saw this guy just hauling ass through the park and do this huge 50-50 down this urban style down rail on a snowboard he was wearing this flannel shirt and tight pants it looked so hesh. to me things like that look better like that on a snowboard then skis i don't know skate style tricks (and clothes) just look so much better on snowboards, but that's just my opinion

hell yes, I'm a snowboarder but all my friends are skiers, i can definitely agree with all of this.

Of course it's completely subjective but I definitely disagree. Both look awesome in their own ways but I feel like snowboarding has way more rail tricks that don't involve lots of switchups and spins out. There's definitely some crews like the bunch that kill it with less standard tricks but in general, an average ski edit consists of tons of 2's 4's and switchups.

In the end, both sports are awesome and way more similar than people make them out to be.
