Skiing and recreation

i feel like such a moron doing this but... i need some help... I have to write a paper on the costs and benefits of skiing as an outdoor recreational activity... (first year outdoor rec course) anyone have any suggestions?? aside from the finicial costs they can also include costs to the environment and such... and benefits all around economy, personal, environment..... i have some ideas but im hopin you guys have some other ones...

Well skiing attracts tons of people in the winter in big ski spots making towns and city's more crowds, my town like doubles when it snows. tHIS also brings in a ton of cash to touriost spots and local retails as well as ski shops, making it a good business, so more get in, and more jobs are offered.
 
depends if its necassary but... you have to incoroporate the lost income due to the time skiing...
