Skiing and inline skating

I want to get a pair of inline skates so that I can ride them around and basically 'jib' in the offseason. Is this a good or bad idea. I am guessing that inline skates is the closest thing you can get to trick skiing in the offseason so I think I should give it a try. Tell me what you think n shit

i'd think it would really help with rails... especially since you have to land on such a small area (between the wheels).

yea your right about the small area to slide rails with, but I think i've seen frames for the wheels that offer a wider thing to slide with, so maybe that'll workout. I just wish they still made S.O.A.P. shoes, I want a pair so bad

yea man, mos def get some skates, it helps with rail slides a lot, and spinning....theres lots of different kind of frames to get, theres ones with a bigger space between the whells, and ones with smaller....go to sk8house.com and get hooked up...

I found inlining put the fear of god into me about falling. definatly made me more balls'y when I had soft snow to land however I didn't find rail sides translated well between the two sports but alot of my friends say the opposite.

inline dosent relly help much with grinding inless you have been doing it for 5 or so years and are good. And it also takes a LONG time to get good ie. doing hand rails and things off fly boxes. If you want to work on jibing make a summer rail, helped me to get 3 or 4 times as good at jibing durring summer.
