Skiing Alone

Does anyone here ski alone?

When I go to my cabin like every month I have to ski by myself, and it is shittyyy
anyone like it?

if i am in the right mood i love ripping alone with tunes blasting. generally in the morning this is nice.

i like skiing alone but not for the whole day. i'm a lot more serious when i am skiing alone=me doing better stuff. but it gets boring...

Sometimes I do, but I get mad depressed. I'm so used to skiing with people that its hard to get used to.

when i'm riding park, always with others because you get stoked on things and whatnot.

just riding around i don't really care as much.

Ive skiied about 14 days so far this season, and the majority have been alone. I enjoy it. Its soooooooo relaxing, espeically when the snow is nice. I mack people on the lift all the time so im very social. I also never have to wait and just go where i want. I guess im kind of independent so can roll solo. If any killington riders want to ride with me feel free!

I like to ski alone sometimes as long as I have music. I tend to try more shit and ski longer days when I'm with someone though. The more the merrier.

I hate skiing alone. I ski about 4 days a week and atleast one of those days i ski by myself for a couple hours and it blows. its so much more fun with friends because you ca talk and mess around... all in all its just a way better time with your buds.

I almost prefer skiing glades/woods alone because I don't have to worry about losing people and I go where ever I want. I like park with people because it pushes me, and theres always bound to be atleast one group of my ski friends in the park.

i dont mind skiing alone if i have music to listen to but i learn things better when im with my homies hikin the park and shit

i ski alone sometimes with my fancy little music player and when im nailing down shit but like it was previously stated it gets boring after a while, skiings always more fun when you're with people

i love skiing alone, no music. it is truly the realest feeling you can get. i love that total isolation to escape everyone and everything that stresses you.

its skiing at its purest and i love it.

Skiing alone is really fun for me. You can go where ever you want, and stop to take a break whenever you want to. It just sucks when your on the lift, and there is no one to talk to. Music comes in handy then though

park definintely in a group .

doing proper runs= probably by myself , because its not as social and you can go at your own pace and you dont have to watch out for anyone but yourself

id much rather ride with a group in the park especially

but i definately wouldnt give up a day because no one but me can go

and when your by yourself you end up doing more stuff to progress

i like skiing with my closer friends but if there are kids from my mountain in the park it's fun to just screw around and do old skool trains and shit

I don't mind skiing alone really, I do it a lot. It is harder to get motivated to drive an hour plus though if you don't have anyone to get stoked with, know what I mean? Like I have fun when I'm there but its not the same if you don't have anyone to share the experience with.

you push yourself harder when skiing with others but every once in a while its nice to ski on your own cause you don't have to wait up you go go strictly on your own pace

bump.

if im skiing alone without music, i fuckin dieeeeee.
i have to ski alone a lot cause i go every sunday with my dad and sister, and my sister's a noob so my dad rides with her, so im left alone.
its not THAT bad, but lifts are awkward.
skiing with people makes me take risks, but skiing alone i improve my technique.

Here in tha pc, we have a class called adventure pe, where you ski for the last two periods of the day, and you don't have to ski as a class or that shit. its mainly for juniors and seniors, but my buddy and i took it and we were the only sophomores in the class, and he pretty much broke his back. so recently i have been solo shreddin. kinda sucks.

i ski alone alot usually its not for very long though. its fun to get to work on stuff and just mess around trying new things out by yourself but it gets old pretty fast and def is way more fun skiing with friends

I always start and end the day alone. I usually see people I know throughout the day, but I prefer to roll solo. I work in retail, so I interact with homers all day long, I value my personal time. There are few things as calming as a nice solo hike out to the little skied backside, and few things as energizing as ripping some freshies once I'm back there. I do enjoy skiing with my close friends, but I can't stand skiing with more than four because I inevitably end up waiting.

I ski at Killington every few weekends and as often as I can. I'll be up next weekend, on Bluehouse MRs. yell microcosm or something stupid like that and I'll probably look around confused for a few moments. I have an NS sticker behind one of my bindings.

I ski with my parents and sister until I want to hit some steeper ungroomed stuff or the park and trees or whatever. when I ski with friends I have a blast too because we're all so stoked to try new things and screw around and hang with each other.

but skiing alone can be really nice, I agree it's relaxing and cool too. I normally put my music up and ski around, doing what I want taking whatever trail I feel like and just generally not having to worry about waiting or meeting up with someone. once I'm off the lift I don't have to sit around waiting for everyone to decide where to go or for the boarders to snap in. if you never ski alone it's worth it to try, not something you want to do all the time but on some days I love it. it's just you in your own world enjoying yourself with no worries.

I learned how to ski by skiing alone, my parents just always dropped me off but i would end up meeting some one eventualy

I ski alone almost all the time, I rather have someone with me, but then I'm playing tour guide at the mountain and it's no fun, it's just hard to make it past a full day. Music is a big key. Plus the lifts can make or break your day, I love going up with some cool other solo people, but when your riding up with annoying group it sucks.

I ski, yeah, with nobody else.

Yeah, you know when I ski alone, I prefer to be by myself.

does anyone else have a friend or friends that just kill your vibe and destoke you completly...i hate it its fkn gay

I ussually hate skiing alone only when i'm skiing really crazy terrain where if I get hurt I could be stuck out there in a whole world of death.

I've heard too many stories of people skiing alone and getting lost/hurt/buttfucked by a yeti to go out and ski as hard as I normally would in the places I normally like to shred.

At the same time, if I'm just crusing the park, or shredding freshies down runs that I know by the back of my hand, I'll be fine skiing alone because I wont have to wait up for anyone.

The best shit is when you end up sharing a lift ride with someone pretty cool, and whos a pretty rippin skier.. and then go and shred a few runs with them without really worryin about having a serious obligation to not ditch them if necessary.

to everyone who told me to use the search bar:
get a fucking life

who fucking cares if someone made a thread with the same subject 6 months ago. shut the fuck up

I go to my mountain(hill) every Friday alone, but I normally end up finding some people I know. But if I don't, oh well, I got my tunes playing.

When i was in 7 and 8 grade both my bros where on the highschool race team, so i would go up on tues. and thurs. after school and ski by myself.. I liked.. i think i tried a lot of new stuff because i didnt feel self conscious about it.. mostly rails actually, took me forever to get them down..
