how tight is skiing by yourself? sometimes i like just going up alone and lapping the park, just working on shit bangin out with my headphones.

 
yeah, sometimes just skiing by yourself is the best, just rip the shit up as fast asyou want, hike stuff and chill and do everything you want to, but skiing with frens is fun too, but sometimes not as much if hy not as good and stuff

lol, thats what i used to tell myself.... be for i had friends. sorry but i used to always ski by myself untill I started skiing with my boarder friends and i went from being a shitty skier to being alright

yes it has its ups and downs. Really depends on how good the other skiier is and if he/she is into what you want to do. Theres nothing worse than skiing with a beginner on the green cords when you want to be out in the back bowls or in the pipe ripping it up

I like skiing by myself at times, and it certainly helps me to appreciate that fact that I DO have friends to ski with if I want to.

I improve the most when Im with other people, i like to have like 1/5th my days alone though, but i usually go like 2 or 3 times a week alone and 3 or 4 times a week with friends

right now i strictly ride with other people and honestly i would love to ski with no one. i don't think iv'e ever really skied alone, with out one friend. that's weird......i should get lsot one day. i remember i hiked breck's parkl alone for 3 hours, but i wouldn't call that skiing alone, i'd call that avioding skiing cuz i was hung over and was on the verge of puking the whole time. ...AND THEN I GOT HIGH! (that song actually worked into my life...good job song). i would love to ski alone especially on a weekday.....mmmmm, now i neeeeeeeeed it.

skiing alone is better than skiing with shit heads. i like to ski with one of my friends we help each other a lot. as for the rest of my friends they bitch and are full of lame ideas.

right. i'm not saying that i go out alone all the time. i think it's nice to do it once in a while. but you need to go with your friends to progress, because i don't know about y'all, but me and my friends are real competitive. we push each other to do new shit, and we don't want to let one of us outdo the other.

 
I grew up skiing by myself, but now I ski mostly with friends, but sometimes it's nice to take some runs just for yourself and not be pressured by others or have to wait on anybody. Plus.. you can go anywhere, not just where somebody else wants to go. .... and on that note, don't go anywhere you'll get stuck or lost, that's not cool.

 
i got stuck in some deep pow before,i nose dived and my arms went straight down into the pow and my legs curled up and were right beside my head so i couldnt move and i could hear my friend keep going by everytime cuz he was whistling,i was there foir close to half an hour no able to move

Yeah, I never get a chance to ride with other skiers and it sucks hard but I always ride with my boarder friends and it's alright. Only thing that sucks is your tricks are all different other than spins and flips really, and the odd grab.

yeah,i only ride with boarders cuz im the only skier,progression is hard in that case and with only like 3 10 foot table tops

i ski alone when i get a lot on my mind and need to calm down, just take a couple fast cruisers just clean out the system

Its fun at times, but when u ski with other freeskiers it really does help you, especially if your teaching or gettin taught tricks.

Skiing with people slightly better than you is key. Skiing alone kinda bites, theres no peer pressure. Plus, you cant go outtabounds or big off jumps (unless you have a deathwish).

yeah i'm kind of hesitant to do stuff when i ski alone but i do like hitting the park jumps as many times as possible and not have to wait for people. i've done some pretty scary stuff by myself though and if i would've gotten hurt i would've been fucked. it hard finding somebody that likes to ski both the park and the steep technical lines at the area also though. i usually have to ski with a big mountain person and then someone else who likes to do park. that's why i like skiing by myself sometimes.

I love skiing by myself. My school schedule is such that I have two days a week off. My friends don't, so I have no choice. It sucked for a bit, but I usually ride the singles line on the lift so that I have somebody to talk to. I work on more stuff by myself because there's nobody to sit around and laugh at the stupid shit that I do. So it works out pretty well.

 
Skiing with friends is cool because you have a great time and push each other, but being alone isn't bad either, just different. When alone you get a lot more skiing in, can choose exactly what you want to do and you can meet new people in the park and on the lifts

yeah whenever I ski alone I never really go to the park or huck shit or anything, I just end up hauling ass all over the mountain. It's fun once in a while though.

skiing with 1 person, who is equally as good as you is the best.... you push eachother more than if you were alone, and even if you fall you have a friend saying 'aww that was phat' and it makes you want to do it again, plus doing stuff like building jumps and going out of bounds is no fun at all alone.... i dont care what you say skiing with one friend is the shit....

Skiing alone is fun for awhile. The best times I've had skiing are with a ton of people I know.

this weekend i skied by myself, but i didn't ski the park. I was at mount snow and just ripped the north face all morning, i had a good time.

I ski by myself for the most part.

It's really nice if you can get some tunes going too.

No people telling you how much better they are or trying to show off.

You get to ski for yourself however you want wherever you want when you want.

Most the time I meet new people and hang out with them for a while too

Eat. Sleep. Breathe. Ski.

 
ive always wanted to crank out the tunes while skiing, but my mp3 player broke before the season started. it was absurd..!

 
skiing by yourself is a lot of fun, you dont have to wait, you can do whatever you want, but the only bad thing is it isnt the smartest idea to hike by yourself, i do it sometimes, but not some of my smarter moves

i say only 1 or 2 ppl to go with. i personally get stoked usually off other people trying shit, so if i have 1 or 2 buddies rippin it up with me its pretty gnarly.
