skiing all mounted on center mounted park skis

how hard is it to ski all over the mountain on center mounted park skis? ive got one pair of skis that i use for everything, and i want them center mounted for the park, but i still want to be able to ski on the steep groomers and shit when i go with the old man. help me out.

 
Don't center mount, foreward mount. Most companies have a 'progressive' mount area on their park skis anyway...That will be fine for park while at the same time it won't totally mess the geometry of the ski while carving on groomers...check it. Having said that, I ride teneightys at true center...exactly half way between tip and tail all over the mountain...They don't like landing cliffs onto hardpack and they don't like ice, but other than that they are fine...even in the soft stuff.

well no pop is because they are salomons...but I ride MSPs center mounted, best decision ever. I love the longer tail now and will prolly never go back.

When your true center usualy your turns get alot shorter because your ahead of the actual sidecut of the ski. Im riding fujatives true center, and had them at the recmended mount point before (which i forget where that was). If i could do it over again id prob just stick with the first mount i had. Its definately not worth remounting a ski over again, and the difference you feel riding switch is quite minimal.

 
Yep I had my trouble makers mounted normally then switched them to almost center this year. They fucking suck ass center mounted, they chatter alot more at high speeds and are harderd to ski in the bumps because the long tail wont wash out. Switch skiing is slightly easier center mounted but definitley not worth all the draw backs. If you want to be smoething other than a park rat dont center mount them.

 
no dont listen to dpsin or anyoen else. definatly get them centered, it makes riding and landing switch, ollies and nose and tail butters easier and you can still blaze down groomers with plenty of control. even my msps are exact-center mounted which im gona use for my backcountry skis

I center mounted my madtrix, and the difference was amazing. Not so much skiing switch, but how balanced they felt while spinning and on rails. Its definetly worth it to centermount, they ski fine all mountain and the longer tails feel nice. I didnt notice a very big loss in stability at all(mind you madtrix are very stable skis).

I had my fugatives at true center and they were soo much fun. When i landed say a 5 i would keep spinning on the snow. BUt it was fun

i have my PE's mounted at core center...they ski fine all mountain...a little harder on the steeps but not too bad. im happy with it

 
my 05 178 Skogen Sprang Pro Models are center & they are good riding switch, but when I'm going all mountain I hate the center mount!

I don't know where you live, but most likly you don't ski waste deep powder every time you ride...so that being said, most likly you'll be riding the park or all terrain stuff(powder, etc...but not to deep), Center mount is going to be amazing, and in the powder its no big deal, and if you plan on landing switch in the pow its going to be a lot easier center mounted.

7.5+ is cneter on pistols? if so mount at +5

2.5 cm behind center is a perfect stance for lots a park, and will still be able to kill it everywhere else.

+7.5 is core center on k2's. Goddamit its not the actual center, why cant people understand that on here. +12 is the TRUE center on them.

Mount them in the middle you will be fine and anybody that says any different has skis that are to short and cant ski for shit

 
i dont like center mounted in powder at all but they arent too bad just for groomed stuff

my centered madtrix are good, i mean that, for groomers and fresh snow under a foot, any more and im fucked, but my skis are stiff so... whatever you think, buddy

thanks bros. im thinking about remounting them at +5 or +5.5 or +6. somewhere in there. if i get them remounted cant they fill the holes and shit with epoxy or something so they wont get all fuckin weak?
