Wondering if anyone has done this, or has thought of it. There is an auto-road to the top, and the woods are relatively thin. I think it would be good tree skiing, thought?
its not that bad of an idea. At first I was gonna be like "dude they closed like 50 years ago" but, yeah, I'm sure it wouldn't be that bad. The snow in York blows though but you'd get fresh lines...there's pluses and negatives to it.
I live in york, and i hiked that baby 10 times in the fall to scope out lines. Its def possible, and there is a power line stretch for a booter. Only problem is york has the shittiest snow in the state. but when we get more my plan is to hit this place up after school. Shoot me a PM if you are ever headed this way!
and OP, do you live in york?
word son, thats close. UNH? sick urban there
But yes I am more than sure people have hit that (used to be a ski mountain, duahh) and definitely in recent months. But once we get more snow, i will DEFINITELY be headed over there for some pow shots/ bc booters.
ive been eyeing it for a few years. i live 10 minutes away and want to hit it so bad, except snow in york is the worst. last week we got 2 inches of rain then the week of temps in the teens, so our base is pretty much starting from scratch with a few ice patches. im hoping to ski it by the end of the year though since its whopping 691 feet is the the biggest hill within many miles
