skiin the pipe

recently ive been skiing a lotta pipe and for some reason, i have always been finding myself landing in the flat/transition, i think its the angle im going at the wall, should i go straighter at it or what?

less tail pop?

landing in the flats has nothing to do with your angle hitting the wall... if you land in the flats don't pop as much. it's simple physics. if you're riding a good pipe than it's got vert... you don't have to pop much if it's vert... if you're riding a superpipe you're gonna have to pop a bit on every hit, but if it's a superpipe than you shouldn't be landing in the flats so i'm guessing your in a small pipe.

so bottom line - don't pop as much.

thats why im soooo confused, i ski at stratton, and ive been riding the same pipe as the vt open, and am still landing in the flat, i really am stuck on how to go at this

its definatley not the angle that you are hitting the wall at. that has nothing to do with it... all that has to do with is the distance that you travel down the pipe... in order to not land in the transition/flats dont pop as much or even at all... hit it with more speed and if the pipe goes to vert then you dont really need to pop as much or even at all... just ride the pipe out... dont confuse pop with speed... more speed less pop.
