SkierSupremacy rehab & apology

Hey, so a kid I know posted a link to my website on here recently. He said you guys hated on him, understandably.

Just wanna clarify:

-I'm not a Nazi, and the SS was an evil militaristic group. I just went with SkierSupremacy (SS) cuz I like the way it sounds. Sorry if I offended anyone :(

-I don't hate snowboarders, I just much prefer skiers

-My friend is an idiot

If you have no idea what I'm talking about, sorry to bother you. If you do recall hearing something about SkierSupremacy.com, I just want to apologize on my peer's behalf.

-----------------------------

That being said, hello all! I haven't been on here in a couple years, so bear with me if I forget the etiquette.

Just saying, I wanted to defend my name. Furthermore, sorry for the blatant link drop but It was kinda relevant. Also, how do I edit a post, cuz I had to reply to write this... :P

Thanks in advance.

your brand is one of the things that keep skiers and snowboarders from having good interactions.

It's not 1990 anymore. No one is supreme... there is no need for an elitist brand.

Notice Saga and Jiberish (the two most popular/killing it streetwear companies in skiing) sponsor and work with both skiers and snowboarders?

Just to reiterate from the other thread:

Rethink your company's attitude and rethink your logo. You're really not doing yourself any favours by creating this association, even if it's unintentional.

well, i mean, everything needs a counter balance. since every skier thinks hes a hoodrat it was only a matter of time before the SS showed up.

Um...wow good job there OP. Why is there a need for the skiing>snowboarding page? What is this 1995 with them damn urchans.

I saw this post on tumblr a couple days ago. There was this little 16 year old shit snowboarder who claimed he was "semi pro". His post was "snowboarders rule of thumb: skiers and snowboarders don't get along". It was funny, people reblogged it and made him look like a tool. Grow up. I don't want to crush your entrepreneurship idea, but you're only going to sell to kids who have no idea what our culture is like now. Please, remove your "why skiers" page

Holy shit.....that page SCREAMS "I'm a clueless fucking gaper!"

Sorry OP, but your whole outlook on snowsports sucks. What's next? a t-shirt with a snowboarder in cross-hairs? You're the kid who calls snowboarders knuckle draggers with a straight face.

I feel bad now....obviously this kid is 16 and is very out of touch with the snow sports culture.

Sorry OP, this sentiment just doesn't appeal to very many skiers nowadays—especially those who are out there day in and day out doing what they love. Most of us have tons of friends that snowboard, and we love riding with boarders and skiing alike. Some of us even snowboard. I wish you the best, and at the same time, I ask you to really look at what your promoting and decide if it's a worthwhile cause.

Why does skiing have to better or worse than snowboarding? Why can't they coexist, and why can't people be stoked on both? 99% of the REAL, passionate skiers and boarders I know really enjoy watching both.

Maybe in some podunk new england town where there's a ski resort stuck in a 1993 timewarp there are people still buying into the skier vs, snowboarder bullshit (which is 100% the result of marketing efforts by snowboard companies looking to attract "edgy", rebellious, young customers), but that shit isn't happening where I'm at.

Honestly, that hurts a lot... ouch.

Maybe some suggestions to fix things? Should I add disclaimers?

I might be out of touch with the rest of the world, but here in New England I haven't run into many nice snowboarders. For example, last year one rode up on my friend's bindings (yes, the boarder was out of control, but nevertheless...) and broke them. Plus most that I know are rude and obnoxious.

Besides, I don't see much wrong with the why-skiing page. Skiers are more maneuverable, and faster.

Can't I just express that I like skiing better? You don't have to buy a shirt. I was just hoping it was a way for me to make money :P (which I need, because currently I'm rocking a Burton jacket i had to buy cuz it was 70% off and I was near broke).

Sorry if anyone was truly offended

I guess I fail at alliteration. Sue me :(

I tried to make the S's look different. Rounded edges, vertical spacing, thicker...

its too late now to re-do everything.

THERES NO BETTER WORDS.

AND HERE'S SOME TIPS OFF THE TOP OF MY HEAD

-DONT GO AROUND SAYING WHY SKIING IS BETTER THAN EVERYTHING ELSE

-DONT USE NAZI SS LOGOS

-MORE SIZES

-MORE PRODUCTS

-DONT MAKE SILLY NS THREADS, PEOPLE WILL TEAR YOU APART.

I never intended it to be considered better than anything but snowboarding.

I didn't use an SS symbol. What sizes would you prefer?

What products would you suggest?

Also, whats with the caps lock? Caps lock doesn't always mean cruise control for cool. You still need to steer.

Help me please. I believe the term is constructive criticism.

Anyone over 50 would slap you if they saw your logo, just saying. I would either change your logo, or drop the whole idea.

i know i being on of the 10 already ripped on you, but having the SS for skiersupremacy is a little over the top but if you like having the SS whyd u throw in the swaztika

The swastika SS logo is just pulled off Google images for comparison. It's not actually on this guy's website - that would be a whole new level of dumb.

A quick review of the skier supremacy website

Pros:

-Layout and web design looks really professional

-Shirts aren't ridiculously overpriced like lots of brands out today

-I actually lolled at the whole website

Cons:

-Worst fuckig idea for a website and company ever

-Nobody will ever buy anything

-Even your chairlift shirt looks crooked and messed up

-"skier supremacy" is the dumbest idea

-Nazi shit? Really? Are you like 12 years old?

-I still can't believe you made this website

-Get a job

There are dick snowboarders AND SKIERS. There are crappy snowboarders AND SKIERS that screw up the slopes and run into people. Im sure the person didnt want to break your friends binding or maybe he saw the SS logo and thought he was a nazi so he tried to take him out. Just have patience with beginners because they are just trying to have fun just like you.

OH by the way those dick skiers I was talking about those are the ones that will buy your stuff.

I FEEL BAD ABOUT ALL THIS HATE, YOU OBVIOUSLY WORKED HARD ON THIS. BUT YOU SERIOUSLY BROUGHT IT ALL ON YOURSELF BY MAKING REDICULOUS DECISIONS, AND THEN DEFENDING THEM WHEN PEOPLE CALLED YOU OUT ON IT.

START OVER.

I'll say it again for some constructive criticism.

Get rid of the attitude. You're making the ski community look extremely cocky. Get rid of the "Why skiing" page, and lock up that idea in attic, and then throw the key into a volcano. Along with the attic.

We don't need this kind of attitude any more.

If you want business, you have to appeal to your customers. Rethink your business strategy.
