i got some pretty sick stuff on sale which was all i could afford its the lime green burton ronin pant with a red 686 jacket..i thinks its sick and o have nothing wrong with it...what do you kids think?
im gonna be totally honest here, i too feel that a coat is a coat and who gives a shit, this is true, however, the only problem with this is that if we want our sport to grow and be as if not more successful than snowboarding then we need to support our own sports companys, even if it is a touch more expensive, if you support it now then later it too shall be cheaper, so ya that is why it does sort of matter, but whatever a coat is a coat
I agree, but by supporting "ski companies" its not gonna make our sport any more big, unless its orage, siver or something like that. Truthfully, a Spyder or Karbon jacket isnt gonna make the freeskiing community any bigger
i might feel a bit silly wearing head-to-toe burton while skiing, but they do make the best looking gear. orage is a close second and i've got one of their jackets. i love it, and even more so because it is a ski company.
i got liquid pants and coat. not all that expensive and its nice looking shit. i dont really care what it is as long as it looks decent and it was either that or i drive 2 hours and buy some top of the line ugly ass shit and spend a fortune on it plus gas and food. so i bought the shit in town this year
i got 686 pants and a nice ronin sweat shirt...i think clothing cant really be separated into skiin and snowboarding...it all does the same thing...i also saw a snowboarder wearin a siver coat the other day
all my clothes are snowboards clothes. They make tight stuff and everybody knows that. WHO cares... head to toe.. ronin,DC,foursqaure, special blend,M6 .. its all nasty. wear what u want
It doesnt really matters, I just prefer ski clothes 'cause I like them better, and I think that they work better too. You usually get what you pay for.
the thing is that its not a touch more expensive. you can get 10k snowboard shit for like 100-150 and that costs at least 250 from companies like orage and siver. i doubt that their stuff is even 10k waterproof for 250. thats not a touch if you ask me
im cool with snowboarding and their stuff is cool. you might get some hate on the mountain, but fuck people who don't like snowboarding. our sport is closer to snowboarding than to any other type of skiing
I think that skiiers should wear skiing stuff, and boarders should wear boarding stuff. I mean yeah its just cloths, but theres something odd when you see a skiier all decked out in burton stuff... especially when burton said a few years ago that they would never sponsor skiiers for clothing, but then they came out with the redd stuff. Also for the person above sessions is also ski stuff, not just boarding stuff. I really think that skiiers should help out sport grow by buying cloths from skiing companies and not snowboarding companies
man i think you should just wear whatever you want. im a snowboarder and have no problem with skiers wearing boarding shit. I give my skier friends shit all the time just joking around, but its all the same shit. Dont be a hater.
I dont know. I personally will never buy skier coats or pants at the moment. Atleast knot until they make something appealing to me. Until that day, I am going to wrok snowshredder clothes.
dosnt bother me... i wear convert pants and a bonfire jacket, but thats probably because in aus i havnt found any where that sells siver or orage.... you hear that, send us some stuff please!!
Skiers should buy from ski companies. When you buy from an outerwear company like Orage or Siver, your money goes to support SKIERS. It goes to paying the team, it goes to supporting ski magazines, skiing websites, ski movies, events for skiers, and everything else these companies put back into the sport.
When you buy from a snowboard company, you aren't supporting any of these things. At best you are supporting a company that is indifferent toward skiing. At worst, you are supporting a company that straight up despises and makes fun of the sport you enjoy.
