Skiers thumb

ummm...i did last season, all though it wasnt really skiers thumb but a broken thumb...both my thumbs are now what people call "double jointe" from my ski poles!

yeah we built a sick jump over a staircase and i caught my ski on the railing and supermanned over the other railling and landed with my hands wide open....i tore tendons in both thumbs and couldnt grip my poles for like three weeks. But it was sweet going up the lift with hot girls and they were like ahhh are you ok

from what i've heard skiers thumb is often caused by the way you hold your poles. If you use straps you should reach your hand up through the strap, and grip it in your fist between the handle. I was told that way your pole falls away from your hand when you bail. Your thumb might be banged up by normally not as bad.

i sprained my thumb skiing way back in april and it still hurts. does that count? and i broke my knuckle skiing but that wasn't my thumb.

Yeah alot of people get it by not holding there poles right with the strap in the right position. But other times when you crash and shit you canstill fuck up your thumbs from the ground

i have had mine for 2 years, i broke my left thumb skiing 2 seasons ago and that one hurts more than the other and more often, but its present in both , it sucks

ill end up jamming my thumb(s) while landing backseat like off a 3 or something. idk if that is "skier's thumb" tho.
 
that happens to me all the time. I try a three, land backseat, one of my skis pops off, and my thumbs hurt for some reason.
 
is skiiers thumb where your thumb is always like constantly halfway healed because wen u land backseat you crunch ur thumb on the ground? if thats it, then yes, i have it.
 
not a problem for me, but i have problems with both of my hamstrings. so when i crash hard sometimes it screws them up so bad i cant even ski.
 
i have it, usually feels better by thursday or friday only for me to re-injure it again the following weekend
