Sparknotes:

Skoganskier101 and I set up a box at a grassy area at a school. Cop came, didn't have a problem, said MTV was filming for the show busted and told us them would come over. MTV and other cops come, film a bit, cop doesn't care. they leave. They organize to follow up interviews where they say that it didn't look like we actually got busted, so we had to say things that made it look like we were doing something illegal. We both got $200.

The episode might air next monday, but I dont know.

Full version:

Random Friday evening, skoganskier101 and I, upset at a cancelled early summer ski trip to a-basin and having nothing better to do, we go to a nearby school to a grassy hill area to put some ice rink snow down and a flat box, for an early summer rail session. (we were at the school, cause his backyard is flat and mine is far). About 5 minutes into the session, a cop shows up. Asks us all the usual questions and he has no problem with it. He tells us mtv is filming for a show called busted in that town tonight and that they might be over. Then he leaves. 5 minutes later the cops show up again, along with the mtv guys. The questions are asked again, and the cop doesn't care. We weren't doing anything wrong. They leave and do a small interview.

Later that week. Associate producer from mtv calls me and says they want a follow up interview. We agree. We get $100. We had to set up the rail again. I got some nasty afterbang shots I hope they use(seeing as how its mtv, they prob just show us falling). The interview sucked. They made us say a bunch of really stupid shit like:

"Skiing is my life!!!!!!!!"

"We thought it was all fun and games at first, but we could have seriously damaged the school grounds, or even injured ourselves."

which, walker(skoganskier101) said with blatant sarcasm, "We thought it was all fun and games at first, but we could have seriously damaged the school grounds, or even killed ourselves."

"when Im bored, all I think about is skiing"

more stupid lines like that. Pretty much every question has a line for you to say it's really fake and they add too much drama.

A week passes and we get another call from associate mtv producer guy and they want to do another interview. We agree seeing as how well get another $100 each. This time the questions are a little different. The Executive Producers didn't think that it looked like we were in trouble enough and they needed to add more drama to the segment to make it seem like we were doing something bad. So they made us say more stupid things like,

"If the cop wanted to be a dick, he could have def. charged us with criminal trespassing or vandalism of federal property" (we did nothing to the grass but water it during the drought)

Walker had to say since he's still in high school:"Getting busted for skiing at school doesn't look so good on a college application."

More stupid shit like that that is obviously fake...

So all in all the producer we filmed with was chill as shit and thought all the shit we had to say sucked(the exec producers write it all up). So I hear a preview for an episode aired tonight with us in it, so Im assuming it will air next monday.

btw,

I wore a realtime shirt and an old brown and yellow line pollard shit.

We thought about trying to somehow put how do you get to chads from the bottom of alta, but it didn't work.

I tried to say NS and newschoolers.com, but he said I couldn't say it for legal reasons

also, the show is just a juvenile cops series for mtv that just shows young drunk people and addicts and shit.

Nice to have someone assert what I've been thinking for years. Do you guys feel like ya "sold out" a little? Or just don't care cause 200 bucks for a teenager is a lot of money?

for 200 bucks I'd say just about anything. for 200 bucks I'd uhh...well you dont wanna know

that's cool that you were on TV though. I wish MTV would have shelled out some cash to me when I got busted. but all they'd have gotten was a very bummed college freshman getting a citation for having some stems on the last night before summer break.

Wow guys.. I'm not calling them sell-outs here. I'm just wondering how they feel about the whole situation. Two completely different things.

I rmemebered reading this story a while back and when i saw previews i kept looking for you guys to see how pathetic it was haha.. Shows so gay and this Exiled shit.. MTV is terrible now.

not really.

Basically, they paid us $100 for our time for 2 times, cause people usually dont do follow up interviews. The first interview was fine, we just had to say retarded things.

The second interview, we had already commited to doing the interview and were there, and they had flown in from LA or something. They asked us to say the other things, that were basically not true. We reluctantly agreed.

It's def not selling out. We didnt use skiing to get on mtv. i could care less about being on tv.

thinking back on it, I wish i hadn't said some of those things, but it's a lot different when you have 2 cameras on you, 2 mics on you, and a producer and camera man who flew 3,000 miles to film you with these questions. You get caught up in the moment and shit.

i say we all write to the producers of MTV and yell at them because there was nothing illegal, and they gave skiing a bad name and shit

haha, I would def. do that. why not? is there an online link?

you should have been like, "we could of broken our ankles or something too!"

haha man thats ill @ gettin 200 skrillaz. and to anyone crying over what they said: the people who take mtv seriously are borderline autistic in the first place.

we both had to say it, but I dont know who was on tv. Yeah, that was on of the gay things we had to say.

As far as wishing i hadn't said things, I wish I hadnt said, if the cop wanted to be a dick, we could have been charged with criminal tresspassing or vandalism"
