Skiers in Fargo/Moorhead/surrounding area

Anybody on here from around here? I feel alone because there is absolutely no one here that skis.. So if you live anywhere near Fargo, Moorhead, Detroit Lakes, or Fergus Falls I wanna know that you're here! And if no one lives around here then just let this thread die if need be. I just hate not having any skiers nearby
 
Every once in awhile, but not too often. I might be going there this thursday! I mainly go to Buena Vista up by Bemidji

Do you ever go to Andes?
 
Yeah it's pretty small. The only people that ski there are kids on school trips and snowboarders from Alexandria. If OP, me, or my friend aren't there then there are probably no park skiers there.
 
This is why I don't like living around here..there's no skiers to chill with unless I go up to Bemidji

I hope one day when Detroit Mountain opens up there will be more skiers around here
 
Just have to make the trip to spirit and/or giants ridge and you'll be set.

IIts unfortunate that I didnt ski anywhere else other than spirot last year though.

I really want to this year. If I do we should shred together.

I was planning on taking a trip there last season, but plans changed when I totaled my car

Yeah I def will but im probably going to be only filming because I have to take it easy now.

Isn't that supposed to open this winter? Definitely will be hitting it up if it does.

Yeah I think so, I'm stoked! Apparently they have a lot of money so hopefully their park is decent. Let me know when you're gonna be there and we can shred

I was looking on a trail map they had and it looks like there will be two parks. Should be fun!

There's a good possibility I'll be living in Moorhead for college this winter and DM is much closer than Andes. So I may just end up getting a pass to go to DM. I can't imagine their park being worse than Andes.

What college are you looking at in Moorhead?

Yeah I really want to go to Buena Vista too, haven't been there before.

I'm going to the MSU there for advertising.

Yeah dude! And I'll be going to school at M State (The technical college in Moorhead) this year! So it would be fun if you end up over here

That's such a good route to go on at least get generals done. And that will be PSEO for you right? Saving money!

I went to MState in fergus and loved it.

Yep! And since my dad works at Moorhead State, I can get free tuition at the Minnesota State Universities. (Bemidji, Moorhead, Mankato, etc)

Do you by chance drive a dark green or black jeep covered in ski stickers?

I live right across 12th from NDSU.

Will probably be hitting up DL this winter but they doubled their college rate pass and I'm taking 18 credits next semester so I may only go a couple times.

Nope, not me.

I don't have class Mon or fri next semester so im hoping that gives me some time to make it down there.

Yeah I always have fridays off so hopefully I get a few days in.

I guess one more question, do you live in those green and yellow apartments south of the soccer fields? There's a skier there that I don't know, at least there was last year.

If you see a saturn vue with bike and ski rack on top it's me. Also I don't go to NDSU, I'm MSUM.

No, I'm over by Westport apartments, near the bridge on 12th
 
whats up my dude i live in wahpeton so about 45 mins south of fargo hmu some time i take weekly trips to powderridge! would love some company on the 2 hr drive
 
I'm going to hit up Detroit lakes right after Christmas. Someone should link up with me to hit Detroit MTN, maybe a lil urban sesh after too!
 
I'm only around for a little bit for Christmas break but I grew up in fargo. Detroit mountain set up a pretty nice park last year and I think they are supposed to open the park up this weekend. I'm going to try to get up there either this weekend or early next week.
 
If anyone wants to get this bad boy around New Years, I'm fricken all over it oh my god.
