Anyone ever used this product? I saw it in a skiing magazine and it seems to get rave reviews. I thought possibly about seeing if I could find a used one and picking it up. I am a good skier but everyone always wants to improve and increase their stamina and technique. It was just an idea if I could find one for a decent price and thought I would ask for anyone's experience.

things are hideously expensive, and probably never used when you first get it, then gets all dusty and shit later.

many cheap ways to get strong and gain endurance without contraptions like that.

I think skiing more often and focusing on your technique more than usual will overtime make you better and will come more naturally to you.

i would save your money for a trampoline. unless u already have one or your not really into freeskiing just more of a carving kinda guy.

I was only gonna get one if I could get a cheap used one. I want something to build up my leg strength so I can tear up double blacks all day without fatigue. I have been doing a lot of leg workouts at the gym so that alone should help a lot but I saw this in a magazine and did some research on it. Has great reviews but meh ill prolly pass.

I am 22 and probably won't ever be a great freestyle skier, I can only sometimes throw 5s. I am looking into more back country stuff so I wanna get real technical and thought maybe this would help. I ski probably 60 times a year and by late season I sometimes am worn out when the sticky wet snow arrives.

my dad bought one awhile ago, there not that fun and only really help increase stamina if your racing

i have one, its fun to do whilst watching tv, tiring as hell though.....gives u the feeling that ur actually skiing....id get a tramp first though

A tramp is not a good suggestion for this guy as he is not looking to improve his "air skiing". He is not looking to improve in the park.

I'd steer away from the Skiers Edge machine. You can simulate the same type of things by doing core strength exercises.

Even something as simple as taking your ski poles, laying them on the ground in an X and quickly jumping to each spot quickly with your feet together for an extended period of time will do the same thing, and cost nothing.

Thanks for the tip. I did do something similar last summer when I would jump back and forth over a log. Seemed to work well, ill just do that and save myself the money.

we found one at the goodwill a couple years for like 20 bucks. the cool thing about them is that they simulate the pop and resistance you get when you're carving. of course it's been just sitting in our garage for a loong time.

so unless you find one secondhand i would just go with good old plyometrics.
