True, but that's like Alta not letting boarders in...they don't have to if they don't want to...it'd probably be harder for a boarder to poach Alta though.
 
i'm on the west coast, so i wouldn't be able to, but i like the idea of the take over. What the fuck could they do if several hundred skiers took the park over?? I think it would definitely open some eyes. There shouldn't be a battle between skiers and snowboarders, we obviously have grown our individual sports from each other so why fight?
 
we just had a bad year this year, next year the park is gunna be much bigger, and alot better. And if it wasn't for the jiblab guys at creek, u wouldn't have all those nice jibs at Big Boulder. Show some respect
 
this is true, but Alta has always been a skiers mt. and the bird is right there. It's not like one season they suddenly decided boarders aren't allowed. Say mt creek decided boarding wasn't allowed, that would be a bit of an outrage too. Being a skier I wouldn't mind as much but I do have boarder friends so it would still be an issue.

However, just like Alta still won't let boarders ride, sometimes area management won't listen to reason or be made to think anything other than what they've already decided on in their own minds. So in case his mountain doesn't wise up and open the park to skiers and boarders alike, poaching is second option, people have been doing it for years, hell I poached the 'Snowboards only' park when I was just a wee lad, hitting those jumps was so fun.
 
I'd say get a hard copy of a petition, and get everyone you know of to sign it, and bring that to one of the head hanchos there rather than email... cuz theres always a delete button 4 those. I'd also explain how beneficial it would be money wise if they would attract skiers rather than ban them.
 
just say listen , i know this is intrawest and all u care about is money, u dont giove a shit about the riders, so basically by saying no skiers in the park u are taking a massive loss in revenue
 
if u read my posts above, u would know it was just a rumor, but south and bear peak r becoming all park i believe
 
that is what i have heard. and that Mountain Creek is trying to keep it underwraps until they have all the details worked out. I dont think they are going to have a "snowboarders only" park, that is just shooting themselves in the foot.
 
thats true!! i dont know in the USA and over there, but here in norway u'll see more skiers than snowboarders..!

if yuor mountain do so, like snowboarders only.... it will be like here (norway) in about 1970 when norway forbid skating. : P haha
 
reliable sources. (2) look, nothing is written in concrete over this. MC knows they had some problems last season and what you are hearing is talk on how they are going to try and please everyone.
 
That sucks. At our club, the pipe is always being hiked by boarders, and if they see a skier theyl go tell them to get out. Once i threw one into the pipe. It was really funny. Dropped in right beside him and boosted. But actually, thats the biggest bs i have heard all day, and ive heard alot of bs today....
 
no you know how snowboarders felt when they were band fro entire mountains. and as skier i agree 100 percent snowboardes are cooler peeps to ride with skiers are up tight snobs on the whole.
 
Hey man......watch it before you talk about ALL snowboarders....I'm a snowboarder and I think skiing is dope (NS style.....non-gaper). So when you say snowboarding is for fags, you are doing exactly what most snowboarders do to skiiers.
 
that sounds very uncharacteristic of intrawest. i wonder if you just heard an evil rumor. intrawest is one of the few companies that keeps a very close eye on the numbers their parks generate. not to mention, just about every mtn they own has a killer park- mammoth, blackcomb, winter park, etc. i'm sure they're well aware that skiers make up alot of their park revenue.
 
how could that possibly happen. if i recall they staffed a couple of skiers on their park staff. If it is true that sucks cuase im gonna be skiing there this winter
