SKIER vs SNOWBOARDER

I mean, you definitely deserved that. No reason to go as close to him as your friend did. And you guys were assholes to him when he confronted you about it. Just goes to show that racers are pretty much bigger dicks than freeskiers, at least when their coach isn't around.
But I laughed the whole time at you shitting on each other in accents far thicker than I can understand, so thank you.

Your friend was in the wrong, straight up, no need to go that fast, or that close, near a class, and his attitude was terrible.

Where was that anyway? Italy? Why go to someone elses country and act like a douche to them? Your mate needs to stick to chasing gates on Hill end and learn some manners.

It was honestly nobody's fault. The guy with the go pro was going to fast, but the guy that hit him wih his snowboard was in the middle of the trail.

That whole fight =

Skier is guilty of breaking many of these.
The snowboarder, maybe '4' but he was on a cat track. (probably in a 'slow' zone)

[/b]Skiers/Snowboarders Responsibility Code[/b]Always stay in control and be able to stop or avoid other people or objects.People ahead of you have the right of way. It is your responsibility to avoid them. You must not stop where you obstruct a trail,or are not visible from above.Whenever starting downhill or merging into a trail, look uphill and yield to others.Always use devices to help prevent runaway equipment.Observe all posted signs and warnings. Keep off closed trails and out of closed areas.Prior to using any lift, you must have the knowledge and ability to load, ride and unload safely.[/list]

I dunno I think its definitely the boarders fault. I have always been told that you must give way when crossing a slope. Think about it if your crossing a motorway would you charge out in front expecting for the faster person to slow down and give way?

Is my friend really in the wrong the wrong?

sorry bud, he is he shouldnt be going that fast on the cat track and expect everybody to move out of the way of him. and like the snowboarder said the competition is over there so he didnt need to be going that fast down a cat track

Wow, the kid with the GoPro on is a total fucking douche. Not only is he acting like an idiot on the hill, but when the boarder comes down all he has to say is "suck my balls" and "lick my titties" or something like that. Good on the snowboarder for not laying that punk out.

The snowboarder wasn't crossing a slope, if that cat track had been running perpendicular to a downhill run u guys were racing down then you might have an argument. But slowly moving over 2 or 3 feet while watching a kid? If you want to take it to a traffic situation, snowboarder is driving slow in right lane, changes to middle lane, overtaking skier rear ends him, whos fault is it?

if you blow by someone close enough for them to punch you don't bitch about getting hit. If you guys were so sure the snowboarder was in the wrong you should have done something about it, pussies.

The boarder wasnt even merging!!! there was a plastic fence to the right of the boarder and from the video your friend could see the boarder for the whole length of that video if not before therefore making him a dick for going that close and then acting like a bigger dick suggesting its the boarders fault...

Sparknotes your friends a cunt

your friend is a dick, even if cutting by that close was an accident, at least have the courtesy to brake and say sorry

Learn the FIS rules son, if you're serious about skiing, at least have some knowledge of em...proper knowledge of em might keep your ass out of trouble, your friend was 100%wrong....
in under 5seconds time your friend broke rules 1,2,3 and 4....1. Respect for othersA skier or snowboarder must behave in such a way that he does not endanger or prejudice others.2. Control of speed and skiing or snowboardingA skier or snowboarder must move in control. He must adapt his speed and manner of skiing or snowboarding to his personal ability and to the prevailing conditions of terrain, snow and weather as well as to the density of traffic.3. Choice of routeA skier or snowboarder coming from behind must choose his route in such a way that he does not endanger skiers or snowboarders ahead.4. OvertakingA skier or snowboarder may overtake another skier or snowboarder above or below and to the right or to the left provided that he leaves enough space for the overtaken skier or snowboarder to make any voluntary or involuntary movement.5. Entering, starting and moving upwardsA skier or snowboarder entering a marked run, starting again after stopping or moving upwards on the slopes must look up and down the slopes that he can do so without endangering himself or others.6. Stopping on the pisteUnless absolutely necessary, a skier or snowboarder must avoid stopping on the piste in narrow places or where visibility is restricted. After a fall in such a place, a skier or snowboarder must move clear of the piste as soon as possible.7. Climbing and descending on footA skier or snowboarder either climbing or descending on foot must keep to the side of the piste.8. Respect for signs and markingsA skier or snowboarder must respect all signs and markings.9. AssistanceAt accidents, every skier or snowboarder is duty bound to assist.10. IdentificationEvery skier or snowboarder and witness, whether a responsible party or not, must exchange names and addresses following an accident

yeah exactly!

to me it looks like as if the snowboarder is purposely trying to cause trouble. look how early he spots the skier and how slowly he crosses the slope as if to cause an obstruction. he then goes to throw his arms at him to try and push him over. the snowboard could have easily recognised the skier is not going to be able to slow down in time but yet made the concious decision to try and block him.

i do agree the skier was going too fast. im just arguing the case that the snowboarder could have easily avoiding making this into a situation. discuss.

The rules were posted earlier on, the biggest one your friend broke is probably the 'skiers ahead of you have right of way' issue, he saw them, and still went really close, it's pretty much undeniable.

Worse is the unwritten rule of 'get out of the way for beginners', basically beginners have no control, so people who know what they are doing (I assume as he races your friend can turn) need to give them space, and then not be douchebags to them.

Your friend sounds like a typical scottish racer moron - I know because my university ski team is full of the arrogant twats.

The snowboarder was in the right. But I wouldn't have got in a fight with your friend. He probably had a knife.

Forgot to point out i mean scottish RACER twats - not scottish people in general! - they are lovely folk - but put them in spider suits and helmets with chin guards and they become the worst mannered/arrogant people on earth.

no, not exactly. You stupid motherfucker.

I already shut down your worthless excuses earlier.

The snowboarder was already on the run, not entering it, not crossing it, not starting on it. As the downhill skier he can pinch out your d-bag buddy all he wants.

i was saying exactly in agreeing to your response

'no they don't, when starting, crossing or entering a run you must yield to uphill skiers'

no need to be like that.

If you took the time to think about it you'd realize the snowboarder probably didn't give half a fuck about himself but his kid who he watching come down and who the racer almost also hit.

silly. no person in their right mind is going put themselves in danger to make a skier look like an ass. you friend cut it too close, the snowboarder was not just starting or crossing the trail. people in front of you have the right of way 11 times out of 10. that's it.

If there is a giant bear in the middle of the trail do you go and run across its iddy biddy paws? No you go around the cute fluffy bear thing because it will want to hug you. Samething different scenario

LOL I hope you get disqualified or suspended/kicked off your team for being a fucking asshole. Kids like you don't deserve to be skiing.
