Skier Superstitions

is this really the only skiing super stition out there? huhas for the last run one ok, thats happened to me, getting hurt after.
im just curious is all, bc theres so many odd ones out there for everything else.

i always put my skis in the right order... like i would never put my right ski on my left foot

(i got 4frnt msps 07 so i got to follow the mountain)

Before I leave the house to go skiing, I always make sure I have absolutely everything I need. So I go through a mental checklist. Not really a superstition, but I Do It Every Time.

Same, I point to various parts of my body, and say "Coat, Pants, Gloves, Helmet, Gogs, etc." And I've crashed a shit ton of times after I called last hit on a rail or jump....never doing that again.

i always adjust my goggles before i hit a jump or rail but i think its more of a nervous habit then anything else

always put the same ski on the same foot, even when i have the same graphic on each ski, i put a sticker on the left to signify

i always stretch before my first run

never put my hands through the loops in the poles

shit never call last run, it hood they made us call it so i would always ski so slow just trying not to get hurt

I always take a big ol' whiff of my ski boots after a long day. But I think that;s just more me being a weirdo.

agreed, i also like to always leave the park on a good note, stomp a jump or grease a rail at the end of the day, always makes me feel accomplished leaving the park like that. also if youre workin all day on something, a new rail, new trick etc it always feels good to stomp it and leave on a good note

i broke my shoulder and ended my season 2 months early last year calling "last HIT" of the butter box. i will never even so much as think the words last run again while im shredding so long as i live.

i always put every last piece of clothing on left to right. left sock, pant leg, boot, shirt, jacket etc. and i always have the same ski on each foot

I always make sure my poles are facing forward (wtf?), like the trigger part where you put your index finger is forward and not backwards.

i'm the same way i have a L and an R under my boot on my ski...its weird but i know if they are on the wrong feet so i'll get to the top and switch em

and yes never ever call last run...i broke my collar bone doing that.

never call last run, GLORY! and left ski always goes on first on the left foot, never right foot.

- NEVER EVER CALL LAST RUN (tore my acl mcl and meniscuse when i did that 3 years ago) i will stop skiing even if i hear someone say it.

- adjust my pants before i hit a rail or jump.

- and lol allways put the same CD in at the begining of a grooming shift lol just habit

if im hittin somethin really big ill usually make the sign of the cross right as im droppin...but thats all i can think of..not really superstition though for me

Same ski always goes on the same foot, same pole in the same hand, and never call the last run, hit, jump, whatever.

Skis on the same feet everytime, and last run really doesn't matter, sometimes I call it, sometimes I don't. A big thing for me is I can't wear anything besides boxers under my ski pants, I have gotten hurt everytime I wear basketball shorts under my pants.

before something sketchy i always do the catholic cross on my chest or whatever, but i say specticles, testicles, wallet and watch.... im prolly going to hell for it though cuz im sorta cathoilic. ill just repent. watever

if your having a shitty day skiing, switch your poles, like left pole to right and and such and it will make the day ripping

I can't believe nobody has said clicking your poles together before dropping. Everybody knows it's good luck.

i dont have a choice but to call last run, my parking lot is halfway down the mtn so we have to decide before we get on the chair( double) and no no...no snow on the topsheet ever.
