Alright, this is totally in my opinion, and it's based off of High Five, Red Tape, X, and Happy Happy, all the mags and some other stuff. And I'm totally right out about this because it's totally stand out. Well, its....

Suppper sick nose grabs, criticals all sorts of stuff you don't sick. He comes out of his corks like noone else, he's damn smooth, he spins both ways, and how 'bout those rails?? He makes one foot look sooo nice. His segments kinda lack pipe, but that's made up by the back to back 9's at Wsi last year. His style is just totally dope.

Now I'm not saying that he might be only one who deserves it...but FROM WHAT I'VE SEEN he's got it by a long shot.

Female of the year: Sarah Burke

Now I'm all into Grete Elliason and Michelle Parker and Kim Lamare and Ashely Battersby, but I didn't see enough footage to award them Skier of the year. Kristi's segment was okay...but Sarah's segment in Red Tape was the best female segment I've ever seen. The back to back natural unnatural handrails. The siick pipe shots and solid spins make this the greatest segments of all time.

And she's soo fuckin hot in the Iceland shots.

LOL @ stept. but I agree with Pat, I was very impressed with Gangier's talent in all areas: spinning (both way), rails (one foot smoothness fo sheezy), style (Ebola sick grabs).

Not saying he is the skier of the year, but I also think Tanner Rainville is off the chains. His butters and switch 7 blunts made me vomit

I dream of winter.

Simon. Simon has actually developped perfect rail style. Like, he is flawlessly smooth, not movement, no bumps no jumps. Just pure flow. Also, in the air he is simple amazing, his style is soo dope, he is definitely the person I would say is innovatiing styule at this point. Also, Pollard for taking switch BC landings to a whoel new level.

gagnier is crazy and probably should take it, but if there is a breakout year, or most improved, or some other bs category, i would like to point attention to charlie ager. as far as creativity and gnarlieness go, he kills it. poaching the msp gap on whistler, laying it down on the pond skim to rock jib, and shredding it in general, he needs some credit. peep possessed to see.

you guys are kind of all talking 'breakout skier of the year' , most pros can all do the same tricks it all comes down to style, or how well they can do them, or the skier that pushes the sport that much farther (candide). i'd love to see his movie this year

in a comp it comes down to who has the balls to throw a sick shit without bailing (who can confidently land which tricks)

abma ripped some sick big mountain lines in yearbook and i think thats why he deserves it, maybe his park shit wasnt as good as gagniers, who was at like a 10, but abma was a 9 with some big mountain shit that was amazing, so i think he should take the overall title down

Dude Seth was hurt all last year, he's the man, no question, skier of the decade? I'd probably vote for him, but this thread is about the best skier last year, and Seth spent most of last sesason rehabbing, so he's not on this list...

 
I agree, seth morrison has to be the skier of the decade, pep fujas is pretty awesome too, but both were hurt last year, so i guess that puts them out of the question.
