Skier cross 101

so im back on the net now and im trying to catch up on all the latest whats in, whats the best and who to contact info on skiercross,

i live in ontario canada, and have skied park for many years but what to take my skiing in another direction, which is skier cross.

does anybody know who i should contact? for coaching, teams? events? i dont really care how far i have to travel, i want to take this seriously and reasonable travelin to get any of the above monetion is worth it to me. so if anybody has any ideas or contacts please let me know..

and whats the best ski for it right now. i have public enemies and they're not going to cut it..

too bad they're brand new last year.. heh, supose ill have to keep jibbin,

so if anyone can help this gal get started please gimme what you got!
 
well is u lived in the states id say you could do usasa because they have some prity small local level events for skier cross. FIS has skier cross comps all over the world if your going to travel to them and right now i dont think theres that many people doing it so you can prity much show up to a NORAM or a world cup and compete if you buy all the licences you need. There is also i think its called american freeski tour run by MSI or something like that that also does skier cross comps with some big cash prizes but the competion is fairly good, more exracer guys then us freeriders.
 
Skier cross has become mostly an individually funded endevour....there are some teams, but mostly those guys go at it alone...the top dogs get free gear, have their own techs and are ultra-competitive.

I raced skier X for several years - Lord of the Boards tours, swatch and red bull events, x-games in 98, 99, 2000 - all were funded by myself and it cost alot...but it was fun

these days you have to be a fucking bullgod to race skier-x, you have roided up ex-world cup racers with legs the size of elephant's cuing up next to you...unless your packing atleast 200lbs of beef your going to be the small guy out there...
