yeah i just saw that on d-structure. good riddance i say. though it may not be true for you, but all the skiboarders i've ever seen are way out of control. probably because they don't have enough under their feet.

-Lauren

I dropped out of high school to ski.

When you think about it, the majority of kids now on ski boards are begginers. They see a big hit, they go up, and the landing sends them right into the ER. Wise choice, dunno if it will last though.

Yea dont get me wrong i got nuthin against skiboards but at the place i ski i saw at least 8 skiboarders with broken bones cuz they were bombin huge hits. Alot fo them do seem out of control dont think they should all be banned but it does appear at least where i ski most are new to the sport and just go nuts!!

Pete is currently sulking around Mt. Hood, shooting with Poor Boyz Productions and hitting on Kristi Leskinen. She hates guys, Pete lamented, so it’s not going good. Apparently Canada isn’t the only thing that’s tough for Pete to get into.

^very true. me and my friend rocked some line skiboards tonight... just to dick around on. if you ever want to dick with them, they are fun, just remeber not to lean back at all.

Logic is working to stock up on premade hats so our store is closed for now. If you have a suggestion don't hesitate to e-mail me.

o pussyfooter you have no idea.... Maybee someday you'll realize how ignorant you are and quit embarrising yourself.

were you one of the guys at Bruno that was on skiboards hittin all the big jumps? havent been there since last year. it doesnt affect me cause im on skis, but i dont think thats too cool to completley ban them

its completely fine with them banning them, if anything, snowblades are the most dangerous things to put on your feet - they dont release, half the people who use them now are people who rent them, and they probably cause more injuries then anything.

If anything this was a resorts decision to keep the park safe from first time users who are out of control, and for less injuries.

Plus, snowblades are done, no offence, but theres no future in snowblading, one of teh reasons LINE hasnt released any new models for the past 3 years.

^ it may look lame but They sure helped me out.

they are a very cheap stepping stone to park skiing. they teach you the essentials first before you get on skis. you learn to control your speed and land center on every hit or you bite it hard. as long as you start small and work your way up they are a great tool for a beginning park skiier.

i'm on skis now and i couldn't be happier. and if it wasn't for those shorties i wouldn't even be skiing now.

I HAVE NO IDEA WHATS GOING ON IN SNOWBLADING RIGHT NOW. BUMMER.

ssclarke youre an idiot. If thats the way you want to learn how to ski. All you are is a gymnast. Get on a real pair of skis and learn how to ski first. thats really the essentials to park skiing, knowing how to ski. Snowblading is just sliding around, you dont learn shit about how to ski other than what to do in the air. So again you are basically a gymnast on snow, congragulations.

it's banned in the park at mont avila too

the mountains are probably banning them because they are dangerous in a park. Ther'ye to unstable and kids probably get hurt all the time

People on those things really are the most out of control and dangerous people out there.

^^^ Dspin7x you have no idea...

My dad bought 2 pair of skiblades for us at $70 each and a night season pass to a hill for $98. I survived on that for about 3 years while learning to toss 3's 7's and some flips.

Those skiblades were ALL we could afford. And I managed to stay injury free until my 3rd year on them. Then I realized that I couldn't get much better unless I got some real sticks. Since then I've saved every dime that I have just to afford my skis and pass.

For the new poor park skiers, skiblades are the perfect tool. You either quit after your first few seasons without loosing too much money, or you get hooked and do what you can to upgrade.

I ski to live

theres so many snowblades at our hill and theres nothing we can do about them, they ruin everything we make and they always win

yes skiboards are HUGE right now...

in Japan

personally i love skiboarders. they are the funniest shit on snow. i mean how many laughs have you gotten off of skiboarders eating shit leaning too far back off kickers. most of them (excluding the fat annoying little kids) will just get up and laugh too.

skiers and boarders are too fuckin serious lately

whats the difference between snowblades and skiboards.... post pictures or anything anyone?

they wouldn't be bad if 99% of the kids using them actually hit shit when they went into the park.

I def used to be a gaper, prolly still am, but fuck if your not going to hit something, or at least try then DONT GO IN THE PARK.

thats an unfair number... alot more skiers and snowboarders than 99% just sit around, dont hit features, and take up space in the park

As the guy said above they have non-releasable bindings... well the good skiboards do, therefor making them a bit more dangerous, especially the 100-120cm ones. Part of the reason why I switched to twins from skiboards was that every time I would take a gnarly fall I wouldn't release. I ended up snapping a board because I didn't release.

i say good decision, there is a bad side to this, i.e a pain int he ass for the minority of skiboarders who can actually ski. But its far outweighed by the cons of a skiboard free park.

fucking shit, kid... use this as a way to force yourself to switch.

when all of the original pro skiboarders have now switched to skiing you have to realize that maybe your sport isnt what you think it is.

just buy a pair of used public enemies or fujatives, and buy a pair thats a little too small for you. within a few seasons they will feel a whole heckuva lot better than skiboards.

if you re gunna knock their lack of progression, at least post a recent pic proving they havent progressed, not an old one which is irrelevant to your argument, altho he does look like a tool and it is funny to laugh at him.

if those guys are good snowbladers then i have no interest in them at all. they arent steezy whatsoever and are out of control all the time.
