Ski with the strongest edges

So far what ski has held up the longest for rails. I have had dynastar candides, old 1080s, and armada ar5s. The armadas were the worst

 
What's with these icons bro? Sketchy. After hearing about the Chronics alot lately, and the new burly edges put on them, I'm sure they are some of the best and most durable rail skis out there.

The Chronics have the fatty base and edge, but so do all the other Line Pro models.

ya i put a core shot on the rail on my new madens and skied on them for like 6 days after that and was sliding rail and the the core shot was right under the boot and the edge is still perfict, i should probly get that filed though

what happined to drugs, sex, & rock and roll...now adays we have aids crack and techno.......

I think K2 and Line are the best, but I have yet to destroy the edges on a pair of scratches (and I mess up and edge on rails a lot!)

Just remember that if you take good care of your equipment it WILL last longer. Especially when it comes to the base and edge of your skis. A lot of times the edges won't be level with the base and they'll get caught and rip off. Thats what P-tek, wax and files are for...

if you have style and dont mash your skis down on the rails like a fucking idiot your edges will hold up.. regardless of the ski .. well most of the time.

whoever misspelled nordica up there, i have never seen a ski break quicker than the nordica beast. they basically just explode, the topsheet stresscracks, the bases delam, edges blow out, its just ugly

 
^^true that. my buddy blew a pair of those up ..ripped the back binding piece pretty much out of the ski doing a misty 7.

I had lines, and i have 2 friends that had line, and it took about a year and a half for an edge to crack, and we have sketchy rail. I went to Scratches for a year and they look more rounded than my lines did at this time, but im still very impressed with how well they took abuse.

My friends 1080's are so fucked up from rails, and same with another friends 720's. Def don't go with soloman for a good rail ski. MT's have some good edges though.

lines and k2 seem to work well for me, only thing that happens is the edge cracks but never rips out. My concepts on the other hand cracked all over the place and then a 6 inch section came out fuck that.

 
I was in a shop today and saw the Chronics up close for the first time....wow. The edges were burly.

Havent heard of any fujatives losing edge or breaking. Mine took a beating this year, i got around 100 days in and hit alot of rails - they are fine.

teneighty's and scratches are pretty burly. never had a problem with either.

Both ^ and ^^ i completely disagree with. My friend bought PE's and after 3 days hated them. ANd he isn't a heavey grinder, and they didn't even hold up to well. And 1080's, my friends now has about a edge of half petex and the the other have metal. The edges fall right out. Like i have been saying, Mad Trix will hold up the best.

yeah, because of the way the 1080 is built, the edges arent suported well and will fal right out. as far as durability goes, useually the heavier it is, the stronger (more epoxy). thats why heads and volkls are as tough as they are.

PEs hold up quite well on rails, at least for me they do...

jeez, no one mentioned 4frnt MSP's???!!

My edges lasted all season and are still not cracked after summer skiing too, I hit so many rails, they did get a little round, but not bad at all.

I bet you that 4frnts are stronger than lines. Until this year, Line's have been pretty bad. It's funny when a new company comes out and their skis are way better and stronger than all co. that have been here for many years.
