Does anyone else feel that ski wieghts are important. I mean just as important as the dimensions, stiffness etc. Yet no ski companies ever have them. If anyone has a site that could give me some weights or has weighed there skis post it here.

my old orange 1260's were unbeleivably light.. my armadas...not so much.

public enemys are like lead weights

umm i really dont. im not saying i could spin a brick around but most skis are just fine. get the right length and you should be fine

If you are touring, its important. If you arent, not really.

If your feet are too heavy get lighter bindings.

I totally agree, I think it gives you a way better I idea of what you are dealing with.

An example:

The atomic thug is described in the Freeskier ski review as"the ultimate backcountry kicker tool". now if you where to pick it up compared to a JP vs Julien you realize you are dealing with alot beefier ski. The dimension should tell you that too but if the weights of skis are included you would realize that you are going to need some serious weight of your own to move this thing.

It migth also help too if you where looking at two very similar skis with similar dimensions and flexes, wiehgt then can play a big roll too, sometimes, in making a decision.

BUt you could also just throw that all out the window and just pick the ski based on graphics:)

oooh pretty!

I've noticed ski weight, once. I got my skis tuned and they felt much heavier after, and therefore were harder to turn. It was weird.

i have unmounted publics and they dont feel that heavy. it might actually be nice to feel ur skis in the air tho

i dont really feel it cause you get used to it, but compard to blading, you can really feel it
